We could beat the Commanders twice (we won't) but no way we go into GB with our garbage squad and beat them, let alone Buffalo and NYJ.

Nope - I'm still pulling for the highest possible draft pick that even our braintrust cannot screw up.

If you asked a typical Dallas fan in 1989, he'd say there "no way we go into DC and beat the defending SB champs on their home field"...

But they did...

Things are constantly changing in the NFL, but one thngnthat hasn't changed?

On any given Sunday...

It was a FG halfway through the 3rd and we were down by 20. So, no it would not have been a two score game.

Zman5 said it happened in the 4th, so he was mistaken. And no, that's not throwing in the towel.

You and I both know stash isn't going to be open to a discussion once he's started saying the guys debating him are issuing 'grating noises.' At that point, there's no more discussion to be had.

The fact that the team is in the conference title mix still this week isn't debatable, as far as I'm concerned. People can say they aren't all they want, but it won't make it so. Everybody in the forum saying it all they want won't make it so. The facts are, we win and the Giant lose, and the East is still a crap shoot. No matter how much we've sucked to-date.

It's not debatable...PERIOD. As long as the division lead is smaller than the number of games remaining, it's not debatable. The naysayers really need to learn the difference between possibility and probability. Garret's statement was with regards to the former, and made no mention of the latter.

When a coach is largely responsible for a team being on the brink of elimination in November by virtue of leading that team to one of the worst records in the entire league, that coach should be focusing on putting together his first decent game plan of the season in week 13 rather than even mentioning the fact that he happens to be in a division where his dismal performance hasn't mathematically eliminated his team from winning that division at this point.

He should be too embarrassed to mention the playoffs sitting at 3-8, he should instead be talking solely about what he is doing differently to turn this thing around (once he had time to review all three phases of the football game tapes, of course).

I'm not a JG apologist by any stretch of the imagination, but what else is a coach supposed to say? "After reading the Cowboyszone message board, we have decided as an organization to tank the rest of the season and go for the draft pick"? Give me a break.

As a coach you never say you want to tank the season in Public. But if this idiot named JG believes what he is saying he should be fired for basic stupidity! Wanna play follow the leader?

We should fire JG for thinking he can do a good job?

he had a 3.2 gpa, so book smart, but it isnt like he got a economics, law, or math degree.
Some people are smart in some areas and dumb in others, or lack common sense etc.
Jason lacks innovation, and some other things.

A 3.2 gpa is actually pretty middle of the pack and meh at most colleges,..maybe at these Ivy league Uni's that means something though, idk..

Deep down, you're wrong.

Sorry, all evidence to the contrary. The facts fully support my position. This team can't win one game without Romo, much less four or five. They've proven it not once, not twice, but seven times already this season. But not just this year, it's been five years since the Cowboys have won a game without him. If you want to find something "wrong" in those facts, feel free.

You're trying to tell me I'm wrong because you don't like the reality of what I'm saying. And for the record, it gives me no pleasure in saying any of it. I'm as disappointed and upset as anyone over how this season that started with such optimism and hope has ultimately turned out.

I know what I think will happen, and I've said so in this thread. But I don't pretend to know it for sure before it happens.

Then I guess the only real difference in our positions is that I've come to accept where this season is headed, while you haven't.

And some others want to view claims of "next game" and "shock the world" as some sort of act of nobility, when in fact they are an act of futility and stupidity. At least for this lost season.
