I'll say this after the game last night. Garrett has learned to take chances as a coach. The fake punt (I know Rich Bisaccia is the ST coach, was BALLSY and I mean gargantuan ballsy. The offense needed a momentum change though and that I believe started the change. Also, the QB sneak on 4th and 1 in OT was also a gutsy call because you have to risk it to get the biscuit baby!

Great win and time to move on to the Browns!

Garrett is looking better and better these days. That being said, I was scratching my head a lot last night. Some of the offensive play calls were outright ridiculous, but maybe that's on Linehan. We were awful in all three phases at times, but every phase came through when needed the most. That's the sign of a good coach with a good team.

Brian Broaddus called it. He predicted one or two trick plays from the team. They ran two.

I have been telling people that Garrett is a good HC, and to be patient because he had and has to rebuild this team. Give him time and he will have us back on top

1. JG is not a good HC. Last year proved that to me without a doubt.
2. I think there has been more than enough patience extended to him
3. Last night his team looked ill-prepared for the bulk of the game which is inexcusable coming off the bye.

He still makes stupid decisions like not RUNNING the football near the goal line just before Zak threw that pick. That was horrible coaching and was a big swing in the game that could have lost it for us. I am still not sold on Red.

It's been 10 years....he is half way to govt retirement....he better get it by now

No, he has not been the HC for 10 yrs. Get it right, 7yrs. It took us and those others bad HCs more years to run us down so yes it takes time to come back up. some get lucky and can do a fast turn around, but those are teams that has some talent there that coaches mis handled. we had to get rid of bad coaches, players, old players, some good players that was just playing for the money, and also get some front office people hands out of the mix

He is a very good HC!!! and no some of you have not given him enough time, most of you want some old retread coach or some dumb college spread offense coach, not going to happen and would not work. Garrett has had to undo all that the bad HCs before him had done, he has had to deal with some front office people with their hands in the mix and he still needs to find the right coaches to be on his staff or they finally are starting to get it. Yes!!! he is a very good HC. A great HC is only as good as his staff, and a good to great HCs let their staff do their jobs, they are not always over ruling them or making them run plays by them before they are called, you will not be successful doing that. You have to let your coaches coach and find their way in tough games, that is how a HC knows if he has a good staff. If he sees they cannot do it then he helps them one way or another by getting them help, helping them himself or helping them on their way. You must not watch a lot of football? Or at least a lot of the philly games, well I have been a Cowboys fan for 51yrs and playing the teams in our division are always grimy tough games, it is rare that any of them are easy wins, and no matter how prepared you may have your team you cannot prepare them for a rivalry game, philly always have a salty defense and their defense always has an effect even on the most experienced QBs that we have had.
Give me a break with this Garrett is not a good HC crap. that is just plain idiocy

You are talking about the OC not the HC. He will let his OC call the plays he is not calling plays, He is not a dictator

Ok, and what is your point that you think you are making? He was not HC, that is the only point that you made.
10 years running things.....he better be 'mature' no matter how many excuses you want to make for him

Rebuilding- he inherited 13 Probowlers
Coaches- he picked them
Results- 50/50

JG doesn't seem to get the big picture. The goal at the end of the half is not only to score but to run the clock. That's always been his weakness.

We're back to people suggesting he's a HCotY candidate. Like 2014. Before 2015 when he was an idiot again.

People judge coaching off of wins, period. They don't believe you can do a good coaching job and have a losing team.

Yes, Garrett's a good coach and a very good fit in Dallas. Yes, a good percentage of fans won't believe it until the team's back to winning Superbowls. That's fine, because that's obviously the goal. We're getting close, finally. We've got a competitive young team and we're capable of beating other competitive teams. We need more defensive talent, but we've got a straight shot at doing that the next three years or so here. Things are good.

I think it was Linehan because JG told Michelle at half we needed to run the ball more (in the redzone) which everyone was saying as well. That said, I wish JG would have spoke with Linehan a little sooner on the subject before halftime.
I think they are trying to make Dak into a Romo type QB and that may come later but DANG, quit with those little fades and back shoulders to Dez in the redzone. You have the best line and RB in the league. Keep running the ball.
