Jason Pierre-Paul set to return to Giants next week

The troubled pass rusher, who had a finger amputated following an Independence Day weekend fireworks accident, has been a bit of a recluse since incurring the injuries. But according to ESPN.com, he'll re-join the team next week.

Pierre-Paul can play with his hand as is, per the report.

Wonder how long it takes him to get back on the field and how the injury effects his play but glad to see he's finally getting back with the team.

I still wonder just what happened that caused the injury? What type firework and did it malfunction?
Was his hand just burned or was it a explosion.
He should say how it happened so it doesnt happen to others.

He'll sign the franchise tender right before the start of the season and then he won't be ready to play for a few weeks. At least he won't be ready to be an every down player for a few weeks anyway.
