With a win against Miami--Jimmy Johnson's last team--Jason Garrett will tie him at 80 for wins among NFL head coaches. He also has a higher career winning percentage.

He should also pass Wade Phillips, at 82 wins, before the season is over.

Discuss among yourselves...........

How many playoff wins though ? ... riiiiight .

I think you left out Garrett’s NCFCG victories and SB victories by mistake

JG has been HC now 8.5 years + 2 games this year, so he had 77 wins at the start of the year.
that averages out to 9.05 wins per year, which isnt bad , but to really tell the difference look at playoffs and the wins losses there
Jimmy was 6-1 counting the 2 SB's with dallas
and JG is 2-3 never won a divisional game yet. with dallas
Jimmy did it in 5 years, and JG in 7.5 years.

As far as regular season records, JG is better than a lot of other coaches, many coaches are worse than JG.

in regular season wins after being there twice as long as jimmy Kellen moore and kitna and Richard have a lot more to do with the success of this team than Jason garrett when u compare their playoff records garrett makes you cringe
Moore and Kitna have more to do with the success of this team? LOL. Moore has been OC for TWO games, Kitna QB coach for TWO games, this o-line has been around since before any of them two arrived, so has D-Law, Jones, Dak, Zeke and several others. When Kellen Moore out guns a top defense and not the train wreck defense's put on the field by the Giants and Washington then we will see his true grit!

Jim Mora probably holds the record for futility in the playoffs.
125-106 in the regular season.
0-6 in the postseason.

At least there's a record Garrett won't break.

Jimmy 9 years 144 games .556 winning percentage
Jason 10 years 138 games .572 winning percentage
10?? I figure JG as HC for 8.5 years not counting 2019
and Jimmy counting the miami years isnt a good comparison, jason has not coached anywhere else, so just compare the dallas years.

Garrett has a higher winning percentage than the "great" Sean Payton too, despite the 2015 QB debacle.
