I wouldn't worry much about Jay. He is aged player with still alot of pride. I doubt he plays more than another year.

I really wish we knew what went of behind the scenes. Not that it really matters I guess but Id love to hear what Ratliff has to say about the whole situation. Id hate to think that he was just some selfish scumbag.

This (insert expletive here) is going to end up in Cinci and play great for them. Don't know why, but I can see this happening.

I would also like to know what happened. But based on what we know, it does seem like he is a selfish scumbag.

Yeah. Man I hope not. I really liked the guy as a Cowboy and he was amazing for a time... Its unfortunate that it came to this. Woulda been ideal for him to produce throughout his contract and perhaps retire among the Cowboy greats. There is really no telling what happened.

He should have been cut after the DUI.

I have to think the DUI was the straw that broke the camels back. Really didn't show up to facility anymore after that one

I think the organization took that as a huge disrespectful slap to the face, when jerry brown passed away just months before from the same thing. Jason garrett didn't want that cancer around.

Disagree with this sentiment in its entirety. the team did everything humanly possible to make it appear that Ratliff was not only in their plans but was going to be a featured player in an entirely new defensive scheme. They left the door to his return as open as a 7-11 on a Tuesday. It was Jay who was doing the screwing. He stole money from Jerry by signing a reconstructed contract that he had zero intention of playing a single snap for. He Haynesworth'd us.

I don't necessarily think he wanted to just screw the organization and get his guaranteed money. I bet there was a lot more going on behind the scenes.

However, Jay Ratliff is definitely a moody jerk, and doesn't belong in the NFL. Heck, I didn't even think he earned that contract he was given..

I think he did.

I think he's a spiteful, petty man who has done all of this on purpose.

I could be wrong, but until there is evidence otherwise- that is what I'm going to believe.

A petty, petty jerk who does not care about his teammates- never had.
Did not care about the STAR on his helmet.
He wanted to be paid- hence the early extension.

Jerry oiled the squeaky wheel and then the wheel fell off the cart.

These are the times I want to believe in Karma.

I hope Karma bites him where he bit Our Boys.
