You need to let it go. I brought up Washington because he has limited range in the characters he plays and it outlined the limitations of Wayne as an actor very clearly. You are still fixated on race to this day though.
I love Eastwood's spaghetti westerns. Clint Eastwood is another example of an actor with a lot more talent than John Wayne too. Race has nothing to do with John Wayne being a bad actor.
We know he can play lber.Sean Lee is a Pro's Pro, outstanding player.
Jaylon is a generational talent, and can be the best player we have seen don the Star since a primed Demarcus Ware.

What about a safety position?
SS close to the LOS.
Maybe it would save wear and tear on the knee.
Nick Eatman with comment that caught me by surprise today. Said Jaylon Smith moves around like guy who is coming off an injury. Anyone wanna dig into that one?

and water is wet. Can you be a little more specific?
there is no more detail. I can only assume Eatman was watching Jaylon move around at complex. He didn't elaborate but seemed frustrated when talking about Jaylon and said he looks like guy coming off injury out there. Could be anything from he looks rusty to he moves different with left foot. Training camp can't get here fast enough.

Jaylon Smith was a great prospect before the injury, but is this a case where people are overhyping him because of the long wait to finally see him back on the field? All this generational talent talk. Smith was in no way shape or form, clearly a better prospect than Myles Jack. To some he was sure, but to plenty of others he wasn't. Jack was very arguably more polished from a technical standpoint at the LB position, while being pretty much on par as an athlete, just a little bit smaller, which is probably the main reason people may have had him ranked below Smith pre-injuries. Was not clear cut, and Smith absolutely had some pretty clear weaknesses in his game. To hear people talk on this forum though healthy he was pretty much the perfect prospect. Outstanding value as a second round pick if he gets back to what he was, but even at 100%, I'm not sure he's the defensive savior people are continually saying, certainly not immediately, and not just because of the injury. He does have that potential sure, but I think a lot of people are just repeating the rhetoric from the media or watching a highlight clip or two.
You do realize the guy you are OVERHYPING is actually Myles Jack. The same guy that JAYLON SMITH beat out for the Butkus award. LOL. Also the same guy that couldnt get on the field to start on a horrible Jaguars team. Please just stop man. Smith is a much better player in every facet of the game and its not even close.Jaylon Smith was a great prospect before the injury, but is this a case where people are overhyping him because of the long wait to finally see him back on the field? With a full recovery and with his athleticism, if he can match Sean Lee's recognition and ability to get through traffic, this guy will be a perennial all-pro.
I'm not expecting that, at least not this year, but it's fun to think about.
