In all of the videos, he is wearing an orthotic device to make up for the dropfoot.

Well, I am sure they have some pretty good ones, far better than the ones I had in the mid 70's, and back then it allowed me to get around very well including playing football. Not so much on a competitive level, but it sure felt like it.

So if that is all that is holding him back, I feel he will be fine.

This is correct. You can see in the video where he is walking that the device it lifting his foot up for him. Very subtle but you can distinguish it.

dude was already a beast.

now he's a beast with something to prove.

he's certainly going about it the right way.

i am so excited for our first two picks, i can't believe it.

(and if the other guys pan out, that will be a cherry on top.)

If he hurts his knee rehabbing, it would hurt me as much as when Mike Sherrard broke his leg again running on the beach.

And Jerry slipped during one of the post draft PC's and said there was a chance he gets on the field when the suspended guys get back.

I could see a 6 week PUP stint and then a few more weeks to get him in shape and make a decision by I think they have until week 10/to make a decision on activating him.

I am optimistic...

Smith would go on the Non-Football Injury list, not the PUP list. If he's on the Active/NFI list, he can return whenever he's healthy -- we wouldn't have to wait any specific length of time.

Yep, these videos show that his ACL and LCL injuries are healing or are maybe even close to 100%. Right now it is just a waiting game to see if his nerve fully recovers. Hopefully, according to the timetable, we should know in June or July.

I have nerve recovery time closer to Sept. The nerve has regrown 2" and still has 4" to reach point where nerve and muscle communicate.

The more and more time passes, the more and more I fall in love with this player and the pick. At first I was like everyone else, shocked we took him so high in the second but after considering that he most likely would have been drafted in the late second I don't mind one bit. Go get your guy! and we did in rounds 1 and 2.

I like Jaylon. Best player in the draft before the injury imo.

I feel like we reached bigtime though.

If he heals and plays any snaps in 2016...We got the best players in the draft on offense and defense.
