That must happen a whole lot, because he had 8 solo tackles, and 13 total tackles.
I’m talking about good plays, not tackling a guy after a 7 yard run up the middle.

How’s that? They ain’t even durable enough to be reliable. Shut that dumb ish up.Between Sean Lee and LVE we should have no problems putting Smith on the bench!
He won’t shed. No desire to take on blockers. That to me is the biggest issue.
His instincts to me is so-so. He really can't cover in space. Can't shed well. Open field tackles he can whiff on unless he can come in with a full head of steam from the side.
He blocked a pass last week.He made 13 tackles, a team high, but I never really see him doing something behind the LOS or blocking down a pass.
Hes like Bobby Carpenter. Finesse in that regard
Does anyone here still think he is a quality LB? Is his issue mental or physical? Do you think he looks prepared at all? Do you think his contract and life outside of football changed his career trajectory? Last question, is he salvageable? All serious questions.
Some people will never learn. Number of tackles is like number of RBIs in baseball. Has almost no meaning when it comes to evaluating a player's performance. We dig on so many players here, lol. The Falcons averaged 3.3 yards a carry and the TEs and RBs didn't kill us receiving so not all can be wrong with Jaylon's play after making 13 tackles.
It doesn't but 13 tackles are 13 tackles. To me the issue today was the corners and the pass rush. I'm not sure how Jaylen is getting blamed for that performance today. Some people will never learn.
