According to redzone.com he's been traded to the Saint's for multiple pick's, they are trying to confirm this now. I think it's a bad move for NY and a great move for the Saints

Shefter said the deal was basically done but he couldn't get confirmation from anyone.

Pro Football Weekly was the source for the news at redzone.com

I hope the Siant's didn't give up their first.

PFW thinks its a couple picks highest being saint's second round pick #40 over all

Personally, I think its a good move for the Giants. Their second string tight end played well in Shockey's absence.

I've heard that GM and their coach were fed up with him.

This is the very definition of addition by subtraction. The Giants proved it last year after Shockey got hurt.

Bad hands. Worse attitude.

Good move by the Giants.

Why is it a bad move for the Giants...........Eli became a much better field general without Shockey. His effectivenes improved.

They beat the Cowboys, Packers, and Pats without Shockey.

For the efficiency and effectiveness of the NY offense...........Boss > Shockey.

Exactly.

Plus they are gaining draft picks too. The Giants came out ahead on this one.

Be interesting to see what the compensation is.

That could be a very good offense again in NO.

Unless there's a high second and a player involved, this is a dumb trade by the Giants. I guarantee there are very few Giants fans who would approve.

They won a Super Bowl and had much more success WITHOUT Shockey.

I really do not see how it would matter.

If anything, I would be happy to get rid of his attitude and contract to make room for the cheaper and talented Boss. Getting high picks in the process is gravy.

If they get a 2nd round pick as has been rumored, it is definitely a good trade for them.

I still don't understand why everything the Giants are better than anyone else. They won a Super Bowl. Great but they won it as a wildcard team who was at best mediocre throughout the season.

They caught lightning in a bottle for four games and that was it.

They barley beat the worst team in the league, the Dolphins.

Losing shockey will be a problem for them. Manning did not get better without him. The teams they played without him just didn't gameplan for Boss as they would have with Shockey.

Whole different ball game this year.

Although, I will admit that Shockey is a malcontent and the locker room will be a better place without him.
