Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones has a sly way about him. As such, it should come as no surprise that he had a ready-made answer when asked about the possibility of dealing for a veteran receiver with one of the team's first-round picks.

So Jerry, would you consider a deal for Anquan Boldin, Roy Williams or Chad Johnson?

"Yes," he deadpanned, before filling a brief silence with a smile and a wink.

Jerry should have been asked what the odds are in making such a deal. Or, has he had contact with Detroit, Arizona or Cincy about a deal regarding any of the three WRs? If so, which ones?

He probably wouldn't answer .... at least truthfully. But that was a weak effort in phrasing the question.

Of course he "would consider" a deal.

That's how I interpret ANYTHING Jerry has/will say from now until the draft is over.....

He's old, got bum knees and only played arguably 2 games last season. If they came out and said he's 100% right now how good would you feel about not upgrading the position? To me, Terry is in the back of my mind and I'm approaching next season as if he's not going to be there and the Cowboys should do the same.

I heard the Patriots are looking to trade for him to become #2 to Moss so Welker can stay in the slot.

To me, Terry is in the back of my mind and I'm approaching next season as if he's not going to be there and the Cowboys should do the same.

He's been done-admired him for trying to come back in the playoffs, but you could tell he just didn't have it anymore. That play he slipped-Webster should have held onto it and ran it back for 6 the other way. We got lucky on that.
