Just kick him upstairs. Give him some title like VP of player personnel or something like that. Make him part of the draft process. He's been good at upgrading the talent level of the team. He just does not know how to maximize that talent.

Just get him out of the locker room and off the field.

This would be perfect.

Jason has failed up his whole career, why not promote him after a crap season.

Makes sense.

Wake up dude. Jerry will not fire him.

Kicking him upstairs is a compromise move. It gets him off the field. It allows another HC and coordinators to be hired.

Your other option is that Garret stays exactly where he is.

Either Garret stays as HC, or he's moved to the front office. Jerry will NOT fire him

Exactly. Jerry isn't going to outright fire the guy. They have some kind of relationship for whatever reason and he's like Jerry's son. If Garrett HAS to be involved in this organization, and he will be as long as Jerry is around, he'll be much better in the front office than on the field. The 2016 draft was considered one of the best in Cowboys history. We've also had much more sensible drafts such as rebuilding the Oline. The drafts have been much better when compared to the 'special teams' draft that we had. Garrett has also assembled a solid collection of coaches. He can identify talent. he just can't utilize it. He would be much better in the FO than on the field.

Take an incompetent QB coach from dolphins and make him OC

Take an incompetent OC and make him HC

now take an incompetent HC and make him GM?

When will the Garrett homies learn that he is just incompetent and kick him to the curb?

The reality is that Jerry WILL involve Garrett in some capacity in this organization. If he has to be in this organization, he'll do much better in some kind of admin/personnel role than a coaching role. This team isn't at a talent deficit. It has a coaching deficit.

This team is deficient in both talent and coaching

He has nothing to do with the roster either, but I’m fine with the idea. I’ve said something similar before, if Jerry is worried about image just make it seem like Jason moved on to front office work by giving him some fancy title.

On defense, yea, there's a talent deficit. Blame Stephen Jones and crew for blowing up the whole secondary. On offense, we are one of the most talent-filled in the league.

The bottom is, Garrett won't be fired outright. Would you rather have him on the field so we can see more of these performances or out of sight in the FO?

There are two other Garrett’s in this organization... Father Garrett has a video dedicated to him on the Cowboys Home page..

Exactly. Jones has a family-like connection with the Garretts. They're not going to outright fire Jason, so the best hope is to move him somewhere else in the organization where he's off the field.

The only example one had is the Garrett Jason has as TE coach then promoted him after one year to passing game coordinator, who then tried forcing his per project Ogletree into the offense.

Jerry didn’t fire him and gave him a graceful exit by making to seem the guy was going to look for college football jobs, while Jerry flat out fired guys like Skip Peete that same time frame.

Mind-boggle: Only in Dallas would they want the guy who was Coach of the Year in 2016, who has a 64 and 51 record, fired.

Bruhhhhhhh! My thought for months.. If hes so good about getting people to come together and culture then create another position for him in the organization beside Head Coach
