Jerry: I'm pretty satisfied that we draft well

Stephen seems like the kind of guy who just LOVES the movie Moneyball and thinks he's on the right track to be the next salary cap genius. He tried to start the book but it was well beyond his reading grade level. He tossed it in the trash and went back to his dad's stash of nudie mags.

I wonder how much Jerry even likes and understands football anymore or if this is all just noise to an old man. Do his grandkids even bother to tell
Them about their favorite pokemon or is it all cowboys schlop

see, thats the problem, he's comfortable. He understands hes not getting fired for poor drafting. He is satisfied.

The experts always say you judge a draft two, three or four years down…. Not this past year. And that is nothing Jerry should be proud of. They have been horrible, and you add the fact they are dumpster diving for FA and you get the current state of events. One big pile of cow manure.

We cant draft defense to save our lives, other than Parsons. May be Bland as well. I dont understand how people can seriously not want to trade some of these picks for a proven player. Instead they want to draft 3 or 4 guys with those first rounders. Then what, wait 5 years for those same players drafted to show you theyre not worth the picks? And we end up waiting all 5 years even though they show you well before that they should've been cut long ago. This team has a problem admitting mistakes and cut their ties early, and yet people dont want to trade those picks. Drafting with all 4 of those picks 1st rounders would be the stupidest thing this franchise has ever done. Theyre gonna waste half a decade.

Yep, "they" (Jerry Jones) most certainly will do exactly that.

GO JONESES!!!!
Sued his own daughter for over a million $ for saying she was his daughter. For real.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan when asked about their defensive drafting: "I like No. 41 (Donovan Ezeiruaku). I think he's gonna be one of the best players we've drafted recently. We've got to see it, but we're going to be bringing on (CB Shavon Revel).

"As far as the overall long term drafting, I'm pretty satisfied that we draft well."

There is no shame in this IDIOT'S game!

They can't seem to draft a good DT with their first picks in the draft.

Mazi has not panned out and Trysten Hill did not work out.
We did not have a first round pick that year so he was our first pick in the second round.

Also...They can pick some good LBs, but they do not be able to pick good LBs that STAY HEALTHY.

Recently watched a best of Sean Lee video. When he was healthy he was better than most remember. The number of INTs and his ability once he did int the ball was great. He had the physical ability and the mental ability. Just could not stay healthy. The wolf hunter could not stay healthy, Currently Overshown has not been able to stay healthy.

The Cowboys do draft well overall. They do have issues with some positions.
But as much as people like to bag on Will...The Cowboys are one of the better drafting teams in the NFL.

The problem is they rely on the draft so much that it only takes a few top end picks to not work out and it really hurts them. Mazi hurt them. Guyton still remains to be seen.

But since they do not do much in the FA dept, this off season was the best in a long time, it hurts when the top end draft picks do not work or can't stay healthy.

So although they are one of the better drafting teams in the NFL, it is hard to always hit on picks and you have to offset that with minimal FA activity and you have a recipe for disaster.

I agree with the posters saying they draft well on offense and not so much on defense. They should be drafting Dak's eventual replacement so I'm trusting in them being able to do that.
