Jerry Jones comments on Rob Ryan

"I didn't like the way we were playing in a lot of cases," Jones said in the taped interview that will air in its entirety Saturday night on KTVT-TV in Dallas. "I thought we could play better before the injuries, and so I factored that in. It wasn't like we had a lot of injuries out here when we played Chicago. It wasn't like we had a lot of injuries when we played Seattle. I didn't like the way we played there.
"It's not hard for me to go to those games and say what can we do to improve when we played Seattle and when we played Chicago, and I liked the way we played in subsequent games and I know we didn't have the talent level on the field that we had when we played Seattle and Chicago."

"It's not hard for me to go back there and say, 'OK, we had all of our players out there we had our talent level there,'" Jones said.

I dont see much about "our staff reviewed this" or "jason and I sat down"

thats an edited quote from Jerry that was recorded before RR was fired..not a response to why RR was fired.....

Not doubting you...but asking for clarity. Then why does the article start off with this and then provide the quotes.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made his first public comments about the release of defensive coordinator Rob Ryan during a taped interview that aired Wednesday.
Jones alluded to two losses -- at Seattle in Week 2 and to Chicago at Cowboys Stadium in Week 4, when Dallas' defense was almost completely healthy -- as part of the reasons why he let Ryan go.

Wait, this wasn't a Jason Garrett decision?

Oh wait, I know, they both sat down and made the decision together, hehe.

If that was the reason he fired him then there really is no hope for cowboys fans with Jerry Jones as the GM.

Edit #1: Jerry Jones as the HEAD COACH AND GM

Edit #2: no hope for any cowboys fans

Ratliff wasn't playing. Not sure where you're getting your info. His first game back was baltimore.

I must thinking of Brent. Somebody got the PF for being chippy after a play.

I would like to say I can't believe it, but I absolutely believe it...Why, Jerry?

I am going to hope that this is a case of Jerry desperately needing the spotlight and a microphone. I am hoping that he just has to say something. I am hoping that most of this isn't even true - just more of an ego trip.

I hope that this was Jason Garrett's decision. I hope that he wanted a new direction, had a plan, told the boss, and received permission to make the changes.

Ugh, why do I have to hope so much?

Jerry makes it clear it was his decision to fire Rob Ryan. The process to make Jason Garrett a puppet is complete. http://es.pn/ULzrLQ

That bold part made me :lmao:

And this is why going crazy over who the coaches are is beside the point. As long as king micromanager Jerry Jones is in charge, no coach is really going to have the autonomy to do his job.

Wilson and Cutler completed 75% of their passes, threw for 10 yards per attempt and a 128 QB rating against us, it's not like the defense played great in those games either. Rob's defense is not impactful.

I always feel like I need a translator after I read anything Jerry says.

lets assume for a moment that what you are hoping for is true. Lets just assume that Jerry is speaking out just because thats what he likes to do. Even if its the case, he is portraying the head coach as someone that doesnt make the call on key members of his staff. He makes Garrett look like a guy with no authority. Is that the message you want conveyed to players?

and in everyones rush to raise their torches they didnt even comprehend what they were reading (if they even read it)....this was not taped Wed, it was taped monday with Mickey (before RR was fired) , lil Timmy just made it sound like it was just recorded...it wasnt ...and on top of that NO WHERE in Jerry's comments did he refer to the defense or Rob.....he is saying the "WE" as in the team needs to be better....he didnt single out anyone or any unit
