I stand corrected on the timing.

However, it doesn't change the fact that, if he really just wanted to play, he would've
already been on a team. Also, if he wanted to play, he wouldn't be calling out his
future employer. I hate to agree with Stephen A. Smith, but he's right. This dude just
wants to be a martyr.

Also he wouldn't have opted out of his contract, he wouldn't have settled with the nfl. Even based on his initial stance it was obvious what he was pulling. Everything was for his gain, he was using blind sheep along the way. It was obvious before and it simply cannot be any more obvious now.
