What WR is accorded those huge contracts without good to great QB play? Honestly, I would love to see Dez in another offense because we don't use him correctly. We are like Buffalo when it comes to WR play. He could thrive in some place like NE. He ran a slant yesterday and we didn't see another for the rest of the game.

That's the other thing -- our rigid and inflexible system makes Dez's success dependent on stellar QB play.

I'm kind of mad at Dez right now. On that 1st pick 6, he jawed with the cb instead of trying to make the tackle. What was that? Stilltheguru88 said we'll find out now if he's a puppy or a dog( paraphrasing, he said it cooler than that). I agree. We'll see what kind of leader he is, what kind of player he is by how he plays the next month of a lost season.

But that was really immature and selfish yesterday and Dez is one of my favorite players. I love Dez but on that play he let us all down. Tony did not intend on helping the Panthers score but Dez had no intentions of trying to stop the Panthers from scoring. I feel Dez is more hurtful for the team on that play than Tony was. Tony unintentional, Dez was intentional.

Sorry, I disagree. There was no hold out. Julio was under contract. Dez was not. Julio had the luxury to sit back and wait for Dez's contract to work out and then sign something slightly higher. The Joneses had over a year to get this done and were playing dirty pool with Dez. Dez even showed up to a few early practices but no deal. If Dez would have been injured, bye bye big contract.

And, let's not pretend that they haven't low balled in the past.

Disagree all you want but Dez held out period. I want players there and Jerry was going to get Dez his money. He pays up

If Jerry is going to pay Jason Garrett huge money and extend him for 5 years, the contract to Dez is the last thing people should be complaining about here...

Can't even design plays for him, have him running side-line routes all day and now we got to watch Dwayne Harris look better than him in the Giants offense.

The Texans have absolute crap at QB, they even claimed WeDone after we released him, yet DeAndre Hopkins still gets his.......he doesn't just vanish.

Just saying.

This is stupid with Dez because it's clear Dez is not right with his foot injury either. They need to shut him down and preserve him for next year as well.

Even had the time to jaw and still attempt to make a tackle as the guy reversed field and came back toward dez...maybe got a raincheck for the next play

I stand corrected in that case:laugh:

In all seriousness, if Dez wasn't working with a bum foot and knee and would have had some time to build a rapport with Cassel as a backup (Weeden shouldn't been on the team to begin with) when Romo went down, I could understand all the Dez hate right now, but otherwise, I think much of it is misplaced. I would also argue the Texans run a better offense than the Cowboys.

I was asked yesterday what restrictions Garrett has that Parcells didn't.

That person probably read this thread and would still ask the same question.
