Jerry says this just to give the remaining Cowboy homers hope that they'll be competitive the rest of the season. Some of us know better.

I can't blame the front office for Dez holding out. That falls on Dez. I'm a huge Dez supporter but holding out was a terrible and selfish thing to do when we have a chance at something special. Mincey wanted more money and others wanted more.

Sorry Dez should have came to work like Thomas and Julio. Jerry has proven he pays his guys no reason for hold outs period

They played hardball...had Dez got hurt..they would have played hardball even worse. Dez played...underpaid...for years...never said a word. When it was time for him to get paid...all of a sudden the world's richest franchise was UNSURE about Dez. There is a part of me that detest how rich we have made the Jones family

I don't consider Dez a problem on this team. He's handicapped by both poor QB play and an injury issue.

I remember when he got hurt some were saying oh gosh Dez is out for the year. He worked hard to get back.

I don't care for some of his sideline stuff but that's him.

Too much Dez bashing!

That was just dumb. He should apologize to his team for that one.

Yes. If Romo apologized for his mistake on that play then Dez owes it to his team mates to take responsibility for taking arguably the most play of the game off.

You know that won't happen! LOL!

Dez does need to tune out the noise. His best revenge would be to give the public, including many fans here, nothing. I would love it. No jawjacking, no twitter, no locker room interviews (Marshawn Lynch style), no nothing... But, I am sure he would be criticized for that as well...

After a loss even Dallas Bryant will get bashed on here.

Some in here are more obsessed with a pet primate (looking at them sideways out of the corner of my eye)...than they are about that puppet Jerry Jones calls a coach!

Romo and Witten better hide their dogs or they will be next!

Haha. Nah, people care too much about Tony's weight on here as they're typing away, posting on here, while eating nachos.

I can't defend Dez if I am measuring him against the game's elite WRs. winning games seems to have taken a backseat to image, attention and bravado. He competes physically and with his mouth but he has hurt his team with the slight loss of focus and distractions. I think about why we even hear about him this year when his play this year can't crack an eggshell. We hear about him because of a hold out, injury, monkey, locker room tantrum, chest to chest with an opposing corner, and drops. Love his passion but we lose plenty with him. If he is elite, he needs to affect the win column. Right now he is a big part of what stinks in that locker room.

He was franchised, he held out. He didn't practiced at all and wasn't in game shape for all the time he missed

Dez signed on July 15th. He threatened a holdout but they got a deal done. JGarret babied a lot of players during Camp but Dez was in phenomenal shape.

Then he broke his foot just like Wonderboy Edelman did in NE and if you saw his sneaker commercial you'd know how hard he works out.

I hope we carry 3 QB's next year. Romo, Cassel, and draftee.

I like Cassell , he plays to win. He is a very GOOD backup to have. He wasn't the problem when we didn't win any games in that span.

Let's be real. His play was a big problem in those losses.

Jerrys and idiot. All he see's is dollar signs and is willing to risk further injury to his best receiver.

Big problem? I wouldn't say that.

I thought he made us highly competitive in every game considering he was a backup.

I would place more blame on the defense and the lack of turnovers if anything.
