With as competitive and emotional as Dez is, kinda concerned with how he.ll deal with what's a basically lost year

He is part of the reason its been a lost year......Dez has been nothing but a distraction the entire year.....cried about being franchised in the offseason, got paid and done nothing to earn his contract as of now....if its a lost year he needs to look in the mirror and figure out how to fix it....

Got faith he will bounce back....but not sure when tho

Jerry also said besides the hairline fracture Romo had, that Dez will not sit, he needs lots of work and reps due to all time he missed holding out and time injured repeatedly. Cowboys will play Cassell and work him for the future for next year.
So no moore ! , bummer I was more interested in seeing moore.
I would rather see butler over dez too.

Rest of season will be ho hum yawn !
Jerry is paying dez 13 mil lol so he wants him to work for it a little, even if dez stops to chat with defenders
while int is returned for a td !!!!! lol.

In Cassell's 4 starts, the team had 2 4th quarter leads (Seattle & Tampa) and lead at halftime (Giants). They were basically tied with Philly the whole game. They were NEVER out of any game. But, his INT's or lack of defensive stops at key moments killed them. Had he been here since TC, he would've been better.

OMG how low have we fallen. How can anyone defend Cassel? Hey threw up ducks, ints and prayers to Dez. How can you defend someone that can only score 6 points aganist Tampa Bay!!!!

Because we have reached desperation point where the marginal, mediocre, and middling appears acceptable and even good. Never mind the fact that Matt couldn't even win the backup job in Buffalo. With some more time to master the playbook, he will be magically transformed into the type of QB that can get the team a few wins if Romo goes down.

Totally agree. Broken foot. Knee injury. You would think he played the entire season healthy with half decent qb play. Nope. But, let's just act like he did so we can continue the pile on about his contract. Like he didn't earn a new contract. People saying we should have let him test free agency. Yep, that would have been the answer instead of fixing the pop warner playbook the entire team is using.

So just pay him a million per game and send him over to Hawaii to rest up ??
Romo should have not come back till end of season or not at all.
Collar bone is different than the foot injury and tony is old and heals slower.

Dez is showing lack of effort , dropping balls, and chatting on int's, he does not care about winning anymore, he got his money
and now he will just cruise and take it easy.

Without Romo, Dez is an extremely limited player.

I've seen enough of Cassell, personally, and I think we could do better. But what do you expect from someone who insisted Weeden was ready to fill in for Romo and that Randle could replace Demarco?

The only way of doing better than Cassel may be in the draft. Good veteran backup QBs are valuable and teams don't usually let them go. The Cowboys had to trade for Cassel so it's not like Buffalo kicked him to the curb. I'm sure with an entire offseason with the team he will be better next season. He was brought in during the season and force fed the offense for only a few weeks before being thrown in. I certainly don't think he's the answer at backup but finding one who's "available" that is won't be easy.

I don't agree with that Dez played very well as a rookie with Kitna. Dez had his first 100 yard game with Kitna. The best play Cassel pulled off this season was with Dez making a play on the ball. Dez just needs to pull his head out of his ace and stop allowing the DBs covering him to cause him to lose his focus and concentration. He gets too caught up with all the smack talking and it takes away from his game. The corners he's facing are trying to get in his head and he loses his focus. He needs to grow up and stop yapping on the field.

Wow, I sure did love watching Romo play in Lumpkin, TX and Ok. State. Man, he was a record setter...

Anyway, Dez needs to kill his haters with silence. Hopefully, he and Romo and the rest of the WR group (with some much needed additions and subtractions) can get back on track.

He did have a great college career without Romo and any QB could have success with Dez the way he battles for the ball but he needs to walk away from these DBs that are trying to take him out of his game. He was so wrapped up yapping with Norman on Sunday he didn't even notice the one pick-six Romo threw. Never seen anything like that.

I agree, Dez need to let stuff go. I know it's hard some times, but he is giving his detractors exactly what they want. And, this idea that Dez is nothing without Romo is laughable.

Good time to say Hamstring is tight. I'd sit Dez soon, simply for fear of injury. Team will be mathematically out soon. I just hope we don't let Kirk Cousin look like an All-Pro candidate. This team is cursed with dumb (Charles Haley) and undisciplined players carrying a frequently out-coached team.
