(just like every other coach hire) this was a Jerry hire. Jerry knew Matt from when he was our Linebacker Coach from 2011-2017...

You don't know that for a fact I don't care what you say you all can keep the narrative that it wasn't something Brian's Hottenheimer wanted and that's not even prove where's the proof jerry may have suggested to Brian that he would like Matt to be the defensive coordinator of matt still approved it you don't know the history you are you in the meetings on the phone were you there because all of y'all think you were there..

Nobody has proof so don't give me narratives that's your opinion that he was forced on Brian i'm not saying Jerry didn't bring it to him hey I have a good DC I want to suggest to you and I would like him hired but Brian could have balked at it brian didn't have to take the job tell me where Brian hasn't actually sticking up for his defensive coordinator in public if he didn't want him here why didn't he just throw him under the bus?

Want to try to make that common sense make sense If he truly was against this he could have already thrown Jerry under the bus and just said hey this wasn't my hire or he could have even been passive aggressive and just in public say yeah the reason we're struggling is because our defense sucks but you know what he's doing instead of in games did you see him punting and trusting his defense that tells me he's on board with Matt and he has been all along He trusts the defense too much in the Denver game he should have went for it on 4th down three times and he punted they were 4th and short and he punted that means he's the delirious as Jerry thinking Matt's defense was going to do something..

And just to add, where did I state my opinion on anything? Does Brian pay Matt or does Jerry pay Matt? Last I knew Jerry paid the players and coaches so yes, Jerry hired him.

We need 3 new DL's, and 3 new LB's and 2 new DB's and a new DC.
Trading for 1 out of those 9 isn't going to make much difference.

It would be such a huge mistake if we spend major draft capital on a LB. A LB is not going to dramatically going to change the fundamental issues with this defense. It’s akin to trading for a high-priced WR when you have a middling QB at the helm.

A worthwhile upgrade at DT would benefit this team.

Osa is a solid player but has little to no impact…ever. We need to stop treating him like a cornerstone.

I would part with Osa in a New York second if we could add a talent like Q. Williams or Jeffrey Simmons.
