Our fans are allowing Jerry to get away with it. No change in 30 years.
 
I can definitely see him trading for a LBer ( Wilson or Roquan Smith) coz it likely won't cost much ( low draft pick ) and gives Eberflus a chance to evaluate if we need to use a high pick on one next year.

He is waiting for the phone to ring 5 minutes before the trade deadline. We all know Jethro loves to procrastinate.

He will make a trade after we are 3-5-1 and say we are still in the hunt.
 
Someone who is completely out of touch on the needs to build a team. This also shows the communication has with his coaches.

Is the general consensus in here and I'm saying it's wrong to be guessing that Jerry is at fault For Matt being here versus this was .... the head coach so stop blaming Jerry ONLY

If the head coach rolled with it then he is also part of the group that chose Matt and thought that Matt could do a good job and that's not doing a good job so now it snowballs into Jerry forced this on Brian and the only reason Brian's not having a great year and the Cowboys are doomed is because Jerry picked another yes man I'm sick of hearing it because he also picked Brian Schottenheimer who's doing very well The offensive side of the ball the special teams which by the way they said Sorenson wasn't going to be very good we haven't even heard his name why because the special teams have been great..

This is my point Stop blaming Jerry for all the problems Matt just happened to turn out not to be great there are plenty other teams that hire retreads all the time matter of fact Matts been all around the league and back here...

That's my point it is what it is it wasn't a great hire they don't have the proper parts they're full of injuries the defense is obviously bad but trying to blame everyone for it is stupid there's nothing to blame it's just bad they need to figure out how to fix it and I don't know if firing him right now would make a difference...

Don't even know if firing him after the season makes a difference I mean how many defensive coordinators are we gonna keep hiring and failing Because even Dan Quinn as great as he was at getting pressure and turnovers and sacks he couldn't stop the run he didn't beat the better teams I mean look over there in Washington look what happened in the NFC championship game he got throttled that is who Dan Quinn is Apparently there is no perfect blueprint for hiring a defensive coordinator we watched the Eagles struggle where they hired two new coordinators it didn't work out one year so they hired two more..

In like moving on from Kellen Moore but they're making an adjustment now it is what it is that's my point stop blaming Jerry for everything and then giving everybody else credit for anything positive they're all together in the same boat Brian the entire coaching staff top to bottom and the entire front office top to bottom are responsible for all these players and all the good and the bad..

So that's why I said it it's because that's what everyone keeps saying they want to circle back around and do the Jerry hate you know why because 50% of these posts are about Jerry they complain about what Jerry says and doesn't say you guys wouldn't have anything to gripe about or talk about and your lies to be changed forever if Jerry didn't talk...

You need Jerry the Internet needs Jerry SportsCenter needs Jerry everybody wouldn't have anything to say or do if they didn't have Jerry and the Cowboys to talk about..

You seem to fail to comprehend that no DC could have this defense, that Jethro assembled, playing at a high level.

Jerry chose to wait on Micah's contract.

The defense was built around Micah.

Jerry traded Micah for future picks a week before the season started.

We drafted another injured player, knowing we already had injured players at that key position.

This is GM stupidity at its finest.

This is the same reason he waits to sign players. He procrastinates because he does not know what to do.

I can't ever remember a team firing a DC mid-season and it correcting or fixing the D. The time to fix things, trade for actual decent LBs, hire good DCs is in the offseason, not in the middle of the season. Another DC coming in and changing scheme now is pointless. That ship has sailed. You play out the year and get a new Dc for next year, not much else you can do now.

Yes, blaming and firing the DC is the only logical thing to do to cover up the incompetent GM.

What legit DC wants to take over this hot mess?

No lefit DC is going to take a 1 year deal and it is going to take multiple years to fix this defense.

I don't believe this. One of the biggest issues is lack of pressure. Difficult to get when you're in zone only rushing 4. Every. Single. Play.

EberDunce is a big part of the problem. Having Micah here would make no difference as far as wins and losses.

We should have kept DLaw and Armstrong

No you could not have kept Armstrong at that time he was cutting the year before he left in free agency for Washington you cannot have kept him and the reason Tank is not here 1 He wanted too much money which in the long run we could have afforded if we known that Parsons was leaving but he was not known this was not a planned event this event happened because it escalated with off the field antics and all the game playing between Jerry and Parsons they ended up parting ways at the last minute there was no plant.

I agree I still agree with the trade but there's no way to go back in time and say we should have kept two players that were not part of the plan at the time when Parsons was still here... By the way EZE is playing very well lots of pressures actually this team is putting pressures on they're getting close they're just not finishing but remember I thought pressure is counted remember I thought we counted Parsons pressures as like the bigger part of his game sacks don't mean as much...lmao

You're right about the lack of blitzes or unique twist and stunts and all that stuff that is what has helped those guys like Armstrong and D Law and Micah Parsons flourish they would not be doing well here either not in this scheme..

Even when they're playing more man they're not sending enough extra people.. I've seen the defense play differently they did play a lot of man I believe and it did help the back end a little bit but they weren't bringing enough pressure.... No one person is saving this season on defense they need to make a lot of changes one linebacker is not gonna help but if you do bring up some of your own practice squad devote some guys cut some guys and go to that free agent pool and bring some of those guys up then maybe trading for a linebacker safety helps it be multiple moves there needs to be like 5 moves on defense alone that possibly and it's a long shot could help salvage the defense enough to be like 20 Instead of thirty two..
