PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks are planning to install a new high-definition Jumbotron that the club says will be the largest in pro sports.

The board, which will cost an estimated $10 million to $12 million, will be 144 feet wide and 55 feet high, and it is expected to be ready for next season's opener. It would be 900 square feet larger than the biggest existing board, at Atlanta's Turner Field.

"This is an important addition to an already fan-friendly ballpark," Diamondbacks president Derrick Hall said. "Fans will have a difficult time taking their eyes off of the crystal clear picture before them."

Hall said the board would be paid for by Maricopa County, which owns the building.

Chase Field opened in 1998 as Bank One Ballpark. The new Jumbotron is part of an overall upgrade in the stadium's sound system and other amenities.

The new video system at the new Cowboys stadium will have TWO 180' x 50' spanning from 20 to 20 and two on each end that are 48' tall. Thats 2x 9000 square feet as opposed to 1 @ 7920 square feet in Arizopna. The end units will be 48' tall but not sure how high.

Didnt I read that the JerryWorld TV was going to be 60 yards long?

My first thought was.... why not just do the whole 100 yards? He will do it eventually anyways :D

Wouldn't it just be insane if one of the ESPN Madden Challenge stops took place at the new Texas Stadium???

Scratch that idea. ESPN should transfer the championship match from Times Square to the new Texas Stadium after its built. Then Jerry could sell tickets to the biggest video football championship game ever televised.

I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.: :)
