Am I the only one who doesn't get the goodell bashing ?

The NFL had too many criminals and the public asked for something to be done. So he tried to suspend guys who slipped through the cracks of the legal system or whatever.

THe players can feel free to stop breaking the law at any time and avoid all of this

There is not a more passionate owner in the NFL than Jerry. I'm proud he is the owner of the Cowboys. He has helped the NFL and other NFL teams because he cares and has the skill set to do so. He has done everything in his power to further the organization. I'm tired of the Jerry basing. If your Cowboy fan and not a Jerry fan feel free to get off the train. No one cares more about the Cowboys than Jerry.

I like Jerry. I also like seeing the Cowboys win in the postseason. Let's work on that, please.

But that’s like saying your a good provider but lousy husband and father. Everyone has money but its a dysfunctional and unhappy situation usually ending in divorce .

Well he is spot on the GM part. Great owner, lousy gm

But if as owner your handicapping football operations insisting on remaining as GM then ultimately you take away all of the “ great owner” assets unless of course we’re hanging # 1 Revenue banners or on the payroll.

I’ve tried to invest part of my portfolio in some of the Cowboy sponsors to recieve some benefit from the Cowboys financial success but I still don’t come away as satisfied as I did with championships.

This popularity , wealth and America’s Team label means very little without success on the football field and respect for our franchise.

I’m not sure fans of this era knows what it meant back in the day to be considered the best run NFL franchise. Us ole Diehards miss that. We didn’t win as many championships as other teams but we’re a respectful consistent contender. A class act football franchise . And the monetary success and popularity came with it not defining us.

Jerry Jones is turning into Al Davis.
We have a 75 year old GM. Is Jerry going to maintain this until his death?

It’s time for him to sit back, turn the reins over, enjoy his induction and success and lets see what his children can do.

Jerry could did so much more outside of football operations. And still be the Cowboys greatest fan and spokesperson.

"Slip through the cracks"? If someone isn't guilty...he isn't guilty.

I concede early on I thought Zeke might have done it, but then I started paying attention to the case. There wasn't even enough merit to the case to bring his charges to trial! And the only one who actually investigated the case for the NFL believed there was no strong case against him.

I might not like Zeke's lifestyle, but that's no crime!

There was a number of years where that's been true.

But it's hard to argue with how the team has been run in recent years in the draft and in free agency. Many say that Stephen has a bigger role and SJ loves analytics and doing things more systematically. The results have been quite positive fast few years.

You're correct. However, on the field the Boys have been irrelevant since 1997. Not even one championship game. Jerry needs to be held accountable. No ones a bigger Boys fan than me. The truth sometimes hurts deeply

Jerry isn't the sole GM anymore.

Per articles during the offseason, and the new approach they have taken the past 2-3 years, it's showing that Stephen and McClay have decent roles in how the team is run. Either through the draft or free agency.

What's done is done with Jerry. Can't change the past on how rash he was trying to build a team through huge signings/trades.

True. Jerry has made 3 good decisions in his tenure. Hiring Jimmy, Bill and Jason who have all built the best teams in Jerry era.

I commend Jerry for sticking with Jason thru the criticism even if it might be more about his selfish agendas.

Like Parcells said” you have to convince Jerry to go against his instincts”.

And why I’ve called Jerry the biggest handicap, hindrance and obstacle to overcome.

Its why I’ve supported Jason despite his obvious shortcomings in coaching because he appears to have a better vision in team building and ability to not only coexist with Jerry but influence his instincts.

Unfortunately he hadn’t been able thus far to totally overcome all of these demons but at least we appear headed in a better direction although Jerry’s risk taking, etc could still screw it up.

hey im with you on that. But to be fair pulling that girls top down alone is worth some condemnation. So between that and even the accusation of assault couldn't you Understand the pressure the league is under ? Damned if they do damned if they don't
