I agree that behavior was worth some condemnation. But that wasn't even a factor discussed in the suspension!

I would have had a lot less problem if they suspended him for two games for that alone. Dragging in a dubious DV charge was out of line.

2 games for being a stupid 22 year old at Mardi Gras, sure. Breaking the law? Nah. Not even charged. Let that sink in. Zeke was not even charged.

It’s time for him to sit back, turn the reins over, enjoy his induction and success and lets see what his children can do.

Jerry could did so much more outside of football operations. And still be the Cowboys greatest fan and spokesperson.

He's largely been doing that. He is not the dictator GM, it's a consortium and he has final say. I kinda like the current setup.

Also, Jerry was actually a football guy of sorts. He was co-captain on a national championship NCAA Div 1 team, albeit a long time ago in a galaxy far away.

If punishments were actually based on guilt "the law" would be a great frame of reference. Also consistent punishment throughout the league would help to balance the scale. Too many players have received lesser suspensions for more heinous acts with greater evidence against them.

There is not a more passionate owner in the NFL than Jerry. I'm proud he is the owner of the Cowboys. He has helped the NFL and other NFL teams because he cares and has the skill set to do so. He has done everything in his power to further the organization. I'm tired of the Jerry basing. If your Cowboy fan and not a Jerry fan feel free to get off the train. No one cares more about the Cowboys than Jerry.

Mr. Jones may have his faults, by God he is only a Man. Mr Jones may have done wrong in his past, but I know the Lord had forgiven EVEN me for my sins. I feel since buying the Cowboys Jerry has grown from a brash middle age man to a humble, thankful, giving and caring owner. I'm glad he the owner of my team.

But if as owner your handicapping football operations insisting on remaining as GM then ultimately you take away all of the “ great owner” assets unless of course we’re hanging # 1 Revenue banners or on the payroll.

I’ve tried to invest part of my portfolio in some of the Cowboy sponsors to recieve some benefit from the Cowboys financial success but I still don’t come away as satisfied as I did with championships.

This popularity , wealth and America’s Team label means very little without success on the football field and respect for our franchise.

I’m not sure fans of this era knows what it meant back in the day to be considered the best run NFL franchise. Us ole Diehards miss that. We didn’t win as many championships as other teams but we’re a respectful consistent contender. A class act football franchise . And the monetary success and popularity came with it not defining us.

Been a fan since 81 and I didn't mean to sound like I was knocking Jerry. I wouldn't have anyone else own this team, but think this team would of went further longer had we had someone else at GM

There was a number of years where that's been true.

But it's hard to argue with how the team has been run in recent years in the draft and in free agency. Many say that Stephen has a bigger role and SJ loves analytics and doing things more systematically. The results have been quite positive fast few years.

Yes, and it proves the point as I do think his son has a little more authority than Jerry even let's on but we will see how far this goes seeing that the whole coaching staff is still hand picked individually by Jones and not the head coach

Idk I think they thought this would be easier. Bc so many people make fun of the NFL for the breast cancer awareness saying things like "the NFL would rather you beat a woman than deflate a football" and stupid stuff like that. So you had the accusation AND the sexual assault or whatever we wanna call it. And the league was in a really tough spot.

I think all this is easier to handle if the players just acted better. It's an entertainment business thats all they want to do. Do we have to hate goodell for not wanting to see domestic violence on tape or not knowing what to do with messy accusations with little evidence ? He's not the one doing any of these crimes. Or misdeeds.

Goodell is serving as judge, jury and executioner ...impacting Zeke's finances, reputation and ability to play the sport he loves. This penalty spills over to the whole team, who could possibly lose a championship because of this.

Wanting players to conduct themselves properly is an admirable goal but this is a total over-reach and I believe were this ever to go to higher courts...it would be deemed unconstitutional.

If Zeke committed a crime...I'd want him punished. The legal system determined he didn't. Goodell is injecting himself and the league where it doesn't belong.

Jerry is doing what he always does. Get more for Jerry. He does whatever is best for Jerry and does not care about the rest of the league and this is how he has always been.

He comes off like a spoiled child to me.

He had zero problems with the Tom Brady witch hunt and said he even agreed with the suspension.

Now all of a sudden he can’t believe one of his players is being suspended so he is throwing a fit.
