Jerry Jones says Dallas Cowboys have already spent weeks preparing for Eagles on Thanksgiving

Since beating the Tennessee Titans this past Sunday, the Eagles have maintained that they did not start worrying about the Dallas Cowboys and their Thanksgiving matchup until after the game was over.

The Cowboys? They sound like they might be a little bit more prepared.

"We prepared during our bye week for Philadelphia," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said to USA Today, "so we've got some hay in the barn."

As stated in the article, it's a little different for the Eagles because their bye was a few weeks ago.

its really no big secret. we always prepare for the thanksgiving game the week before the last game before thanksgiving. we've been doing for years. we play a game on that day every year and we prepare the same way every year

Well that makes sense spending the bye that way. And if it took away from their prep for NY & least we're on the other side of it & it didn't hurt the team's record. From here, at least they can use these couple days more to refresh what they did the week before. The physical toll will be what ends up being the most taxing, the late game then the quick turn around to play again. That mini bye after Chicago is gonna be a relief!

Fair enough. I didn't know this was something that was publicized so well. I guess my take is "The less said the better" especially when it's coming from Jerry Jones. But I admit I may be overreacting.
