Any of you guys remember a bye week a few years ago where Tony went to Cabo with Jessica and prepped for the Thanksgiving game, maybe its our year.I still think he should have married that woman, shes still hot.

The cabo trip was during the bye week during wildcard weekend. Dallas had the 13-3 record and had the bye week

its really no big secret. we always prepare for the thanksgiving game the week before the last game before thanksgiving. we've been doing for years. we play a game on that day every year and we prepare the same way every year

It may or may not be a secret, but what is the benefit of mentioning it?

what is the problem with mentioning they are ready for Philly? You think philly did not know that Dallas would game plan them during the bye week? I'm sure he was asked about being ready for the Philly game.

What's the harm? Is philly going to prepare more for us now that they know we prepared during our bye week?

Jerry says a lot of stupid things that people are perfectly justified in raging about. This really is not one of them.

I would hope so.

As stated in the article, it's a little different for the Eagles because their bye was a few weeks ago.

But apparently some of the Philly beat writers have hinted the Eagles are full of it when they said they haven't prepared for Dallas in prior weeks and in fact, they put some things in during Tennessee week for the Cowboys game.

sometimes I get confused listening to Jones family...secret sauce, hay in barn. Can we just call it now - there needs to be reality show with Jones family. I don't say that out of envy but sheer confusion it would bring and yes ratings.

Again, my statement wasn't, "Don't say that!", it was, "What's the benefit."

Interesting if true. I guess that's the difference between asking a coach that question and asking an owner.

You forgot Jerrah's comment about his hunting in Missouri during the bye week where he compared himself to a squirrel with nuts in a tree.

No benefit, just responding to a question.

As far as being asked so has Jason been asked this and Jerry is owner and GM it is not strange at all for any GM to talk to the media.

I am sorry...I am so not in the mood for this guy....and I DO NOT WANT to hear people say "that is Jerry being Jerry". I am so sick of "Jerry being Jerry". It just sounds clownish. Who DOES this? It's almost like this clown won the lottery and was able to buy a football team

You have the right not to like it and as owner/GM he has every right to talk to the media. Did not seem to bother fans when it was Tex who was talking to the media.

He just comes off as a guy that has to make sure EVERYBODY knows...he is on top of EVERYETHING. We KNOW he owns the team. But it's like he has to REMIND in EVERY way possible!!!!!!!!

I guess I just wish he would sometimes ACT like he's "been there"

lol.

So funny that people think this is news.

This is not the first time that a team coming off of a bye gets some work in on the next two opponents since they've got the extra time to do so.

It just does not bother me because it has no bearing on anything. My only concern is Cowboys winning outside of that Jerry can talk to whom ever he wants I really do not care.
