There is one thing I have heard and seen on a consistent basis for the last three weeks.
No one on the Cowboys likes practicing on that crappy synthetic grass field at Standridge Stadium!
Time and time again I have seen guys in the OTA videos having their feet fly right out from underneath them when they are trying to change direction on the field. And we are hearing from some that the field is rough on the players legs and joints, read here.
The problem was twofold if you ask me. One, the players start complaining and everyone jumps on them saying they are the same bunch of 'soft players' we have seen over the last few seasons. Two, the players don't complain and the field really is a disaster so we wind up with more than a handful of guys sitting on the sidelines.
And that is exactly what we seem to have right now.
Jerry Jones put them into a lose-lose situation here by choosing this spot for the OTA's and the upcoming minicamp. He has recently done the right thing after making a silly error in judgement. The Pacman thing.
So there is still plenty of time for Jerry to correct another one of his blunders and find another field for the Minicamp scheduled for next week.
Do the right thing Jerry!

Tuesday's practice was dominated by the defense, but Williams and Crayton both said it hasn't been that way throughout the four-week OTA season, and Crayton said he believes the offense can get things turned around by next week's mini-camp with a little rest and recovery. That means staying off the Standridge Stadium artificial turf for five days.
"This turf right here - nice high school stadium - I hate this stuff," Crayton said. "It's pitiful on your legs and your joints and everything. I wish we could've found a grass stadium, but you've got to work with what you've got, and I think people are starting to use this as an excuse.

"I think some of the younger guys are starting to go down. It's a mental thing right now."
And now next week the Cowboys will head into a minicamp with pads on so we are going to see some guys hitting this dreadful field after contact whether they like it or not.
