Jerry not happy with officiating

I wouldn't say its rigged, but its slanted to keep games close during the regular season so more people watch and advertising revenue stays high.

In the playoffs I think its shaded to certain teams so they get the best story, and from that the best ratings . From the press this week, it does seem like they want the story to be "Aaron Rodgers comes back and wins the Super Bowl".

That's a boring story, honestly.

NO ONE had a more compelling story than the 2016 Dallas Cowboys. Ask the media and sports shows. Two rookies led a magical season, and one of the most epic comebacks in playoff history... yet it wasn't enough for the NFL.

I'm tired of all this 'great sportsman' garbage and all of this 'well the ref missed calls on both sides' garbage. Teams like the pats aren't afraid to call out the refs when need be and they get results. On the other hand, we just smile while the refs continually screw us over. There were missed calls for both sides, but the timeliness of penalties against us is no way equal with the tiny penalties against the packers. SEVERAL critical plays for us were magically nullified with penalties or there were penalties once the defense made a stop. There was even a moment in the game when the refs huddled together and had to pick up the flag against us. The poor reffing needs to be called out. This isn't the only game this has been occuring in either. Allowing yourself to get screwed over with reffing isn't great sportsmanship. It's being weak.

Seems like it started this year around midseason. Our monster offense suddenly got stalled by penalties every game.

Skip Bayless may get pretty vocal on this in coming weeks. We may be able to let him be our voice, as painful at it is to say that. He's already called out the Brice penalty, the no-calls on Witten, and Aaron yucking it up with refs.

And it seems to be implying something completely wonky and tinfoil hat-worthy... but I'd be lying if I didn't say it crossed my mind back in preseason when they told us about the new "chips" installed in balls. I thought how easily they might be able to shift field goals one way or the other, esp. after that weird week early in the season when kickers missed a record number of field goals in a week. I know this is probably way off-base. But still. I'm in full-on conspiracy mode at the moment.

Seriously people, most of these comments are ridiculous. I agree, officiating wasn't good and hasn't been good for a few years but to act like we're the only ones getting screwed is absurd. Like it or not there were several plays that we got away with as well. Adams literally had his jersey pulled down around his shoulder pad in front of a ref and it wasn't called. That non call resulted in GB punting and us getting points. How can you sit there and act like we're the only ones not getting calls?

Was there even a single holding penalty called against GB's O line?

I saw many instances where Irving and others were getting fully wrapped up and assaulted while trying to get to the QB. Horrible officiating.

Not one

What's the point in being a fan if the refs can decide games? I'm sick of this ****.

Not 1... Penalties were only 6-3 in GB's favor, but to me it's not only the number of calls but when they are called. The call against Free after Zeke breaks a nice run for a 1st down. Did he hold, I guess yeah somewhat but it to me he was more just crushing the little DB and the DB turned to make a tackle and couldnt because Free was driving him into the ground. The call against Brown that would have turned the ball over to us on the interception by Heath. And then you get all the non-calls against us like the Witten mugging near the endzone... It just seems to me that after every big play we have I am looking for a flag and hoping there isnt one called. And the way that GB gets away from all the mugging they do on the Online is just ridicules. Not 1 holding call, and you can see on almost every play someone had one of our defenders arms wrapped around their necks in almost a choke hold...even in the Giants game..

Don't worry Pittsburgh won. And guess how they won? On a penalty

Yep, the Chiefs scored a TD and went for 2 points and got it.........TIE GAME!!!

The officials quickly looked around and realized the Steelers might lose if the game goes into OT and they just cant risk having that happen so poof, flag appears for holding.........LOL..........poor Chiefs never had a chance.

Precisely. The timing of the calls and non-calls is what's frustrating. This was a divisional playoff game that was defined by the officiating more than it was defined by the play on the field.

Imo....KC got jobbed. It's going to be interesting how the officiating will be in the remaining 3 games. I bet GB wins at Atlanta and there will be controversial calls in that game.

The NFL is smart. They'll probably let the NE-Pitt game play out however it does so it takes the heat off of them. And they can live with either of those darlings in the SB.

But GB and Atlanta? Yea Atlanta doesn't have a chance in hell. GB will have very minimal penalties and Atlanta will have big plays called back all game long

Officials got what they wanted today. Chiefs called for holding on a made 2 pt play that would've tied the game. Situational penalties that decide games.

T Crawford was seriously held on 1st TD run at goaline. DL held on nearly every play by GB. IRVING held on stupid throw at end of game. NFL sucks. It's a rigged Goodell, Mara, Rooney league.

I knew when they made that crazy unsportsmanlike call against Butler early on that we were screwed. I told my brother at that time the game is over, we will get jobbed. Has that call ever been made in the history of the game?
It's crazy. The officials didn't even know how many yards the penalty was for. They originally spotted the ball 5 yards back, and when GB complained I guess the refs had to consult their rule book to find out how many yards the call is worth (since, you know, it probably hasn't been called in decades).

Got one even better... The Falcons had "added" an event to their FB social media before the game started "Green bay at Atlanta".

If it turns out that the NFL is really rigged, I might go off the grid. Nothing will be real.
