Why is the NFL the only major sports league with part time ametuer refs?

They have very little at stake unlike players coaches and apparently fans.

Not sure where the 2 penalties came from.

Looks like Packers had 3 penalties for 22 yards and Cowboys had 6 penalties for 50. Doesn't seem very out of the ordinary.

The refs were horrible for both teams, but the timing of when they decided to actually throw a flag was horrible for Dallas.

That said, after some reflection, I believe this game was lost by the coaches.

I'm just as much a fan for the game of football as I am a Cowboys fan, and very disheartened by the officiating. I felt like the very integrity of the game itself was assaulted worse than Jody Foster on a pinball machine. Time after time I witnessed green bay holding that was more than obvious to even a near sighted chihuahua. Yet they refused to call it. Then i witness the "hold" they call on Dallas and I was in disbelief. Same goes for the penalties that should have went against the Dallas secondary that the announcers loved pointing out on camera. Troy Aikman is convincing me that he is anti-Cowboys. Then there was the penalty that hasnt been called in 30 years...how crucial was that one? The PI call was a bs call...even the reciever gave up on the play, that really should have been deemed uncatchable. The non call on the hold when Rogers made his final pass made me throw my phone. So many times I have took the sides of the refs when debating with people who were upset about the officiating, because most times they made the right call, even if it went against by beloved Ciwboys. But twice now in a playoff game against Green Bay the officiating has been a crucial part of Dallas losses.

Think about that pass interference call. So if it's pass interference and they deem it uncatchable then it would have been an interception right? So ignore the pass interference call and let Dallas have the ball even though the intended receiver was clearly held?
