The reality is the NFL has a problem with teams crying and yelling at refs non stop throughout the games. A guy like Rodgers has star power and the refs are impacted when a high profile guy gets on them throughout the game.

The NFL is losing credibility and needs to implement hockey rules where if you mouth off to a ref at all you get an immediate penalty. Also these pass interference calls need to be reviewable at least once or twice per game.

Excellent post.

GB seems to benefit from officiating all the time. When they played Minnesota a couple weeks, Jordy Nelson pushed off the entire game, Viking pass rushers were tackled in pursuit of Rodgers, Clay Matthews pummeled Bradford twice after the ball was clearly thrown and no calls on any of it. Year in and year out, GB is is always one of the least penalized teams in the league.

The Packers have mastered the rear naked choke and are now allowed to use it in games. Its a winning strategy.

The NFL has so much in-your-face-bull-**** that I seriously question my sanity in following it. To willingly invest time and emotion into something knowing that a stab in the back is what awaits you at the end is crazy,,, apparently I learned nothing in 2007 or 2014.

Which bad calls were called against the packers?
They only got called for 2 penalties right? So which one was a bad call?

No packers fan in their right mind would say they got hosed by the refs after that PI call that put them in FG range and took away an interception on a pass that Rodgers was just throwing away.

PI cannot be called on a ball not catchable by the receiver. Outside of Manute Bol no human could have caught that pass from where the receiver was when the ball went 10 yards over his head.

No one can tell me all officials are fair, are impartial, have no bias, do not favor one team over another or a player over another. Officiating will never be 100% correct...human error. But it will also never be fair. Nothing csn be done to change it.

Nor can it be called before the ball has left the QBs hand. They could have called a 5 yard holding or illegal contact penalty and had it be a semi reasonable call, but much lighter then they'd been calling it all night.

I don't think they're biased. I think they're incompetent which leads them to being unbalanced in their terrible application of the rules.

IIRC the ball wasn't even in the air at that point so PI isn't a valid call at that point.
And Rodgers was far outside the pocket so no holding should have been called either. That INT should have stood. I don't think we will see another NFCCG in my lifetime as long as the refs are allowed to control the outcomes. Lets face facts. The NFL and its cronies hate Jerry and the Cowboys in spite of the money he makes them.

You are correct in your assessment if they don't stop the Zeke Witch Hunt for DV here soon.

Why wouldn't they be biased? Don't we all have teams we like and dislike? Are they not human too? We are voted the most hated NFL franchise year in and year out despite not winning a Super Bowl in 21 years. That bias is coming from somewhere.

It never gets called.

Here's the actual rule

You can see the play here. Looks to me like they weren't in the huddle, Butler never communicated with anyone on the field.

Obvious to me the refs were just looking for penalties to call and even made up rules.

Exactly. And that's not even close to being a huddle, so how could Butler be approaching something which doesn't exist? BS call. No bias though.

There were a couple of chicken **** calls but the Cowboys were a cluster ***** till midway through the second quarter. That as many have stated is why we will be watching Atl close their digs vs the Packers next week in the NFCC

I blame the Russians.
From the NFL's perspective, he screwed them in the mid to late 90's with independent marketing deals. Not sure when or if the payback will ever stop.

Absolutely. I've been saying this for 15 years. They are never going to let him off the hook. He cares a little, but he sleeps it off by remembering his 165M investment is valued at over 4B now.

The NBA did this to me. I was a fan of that game, but it's WWE now. Entertaining at times, but not a real sport anymore

The fact they are going after Zeke on the ridiculous domestic abuse charges after she clearly lied and the Giants kicker was a walking domestic abuser should make Jerry furious, along with Gregory in light of Bell and the whole Giants squad on a boat with reefers..
Exactly, the bias goes beyond the football field. How is the kicker from the giants still playing after he's been arrested for Domestic Violence and Zeke is still being investigated. Brown from the Giants was involved in 20 different altercations with his wife and arrested in 2015 and was only suspended 1 game. Ray Rice got a year, Peterson got a year. Giants player gets a week.

I don't think the league will ever let Dallas win a super bowl. They'll do whatever they can to stop them. Maybe Garret is right. Maybe we need an all pro HOF player at every position to beat the other team and the refs and the league agenda

he should be

officials robbed us from a classic overtime game. we sacked Joe glass putting him in 3rd and long and would of sacked him again if the OL didn't go WWE on us.

you can't excuse that blatant of a hold in that huge of a moment
I think Irving needs to go to the doctor tomorrow to see if he's pregnant after that play. He was more than held.
