Jerry on Diggs - Diggs isn't healthy enough to be out there for us. Period

Diggs says otherwise, and when anyone ends a statement with "Period", I tend to question its authenticity.

Yeah…something is going on with Diggs and the Cowboys organization. Jerry is paying top-dollar for Diggs to be on the field; and for Jerry, who is the most positive, rose-colored glasses wearing individual, to say Diggs isn’t ready to play…well that is not good.

I fully expect Diggs to be cut, sign elsewhere with a team that plays more man defense and play at a high level again. Maybe I'm wrong and the knee injuries will be too much to overcome, but I don't think this player is through yet. Won't be surprised at all if Washington signs him. Chicago might be another destination because of Al Harris.

Jerry will not cut him lose to give him an opportunity to be resigned to play somewhere else - playoff run. Jerry will make him suffer, with an attempt to try and trade him in the off season.

I have no idea what is going on with Diggs but I am going to bet Jerry is gaslighting us again. Last week he said Diggs would play. Now he is claiming he isn't healthy enough to play. And btw, if Jerry is worried about an injury settlement, then why claim he is not healthy enough to play? He is giving Diggs the evidence he needs if he does file an injury grievance and get an injury settlement if Jerry cuts him.

Based on what we saw early in the season, this Diggs thing has been brewing since the off-season when Diggs decided to work out and rehab at home instead of at the Cowboys facility. For me, who cares. He came back early and started the season when most expected him to miss at least a month. Did he play well? Not really, but no one in that secondary played well, not even Bland. And Elam, the former 1st round pick Jerry signed, was awful and not even with the team anymore. So when Diggs made some comments about the scheme, Jerry got butt hurt like he did with Micah. I will bet Diggs also criticized the Micah trade in the locker room as well. And by the way, the secondary still sucks, which probably embarrasses Jerry who them becomes even more miffed at Diggs.

And for the fans claiming he got paid so he doesn't care anymore, if that were the case then why would he come back early? Why would he want to play? Why would he care that Eberflus's scheme are not a good fit for him and the team?

This thing with Diggs has nothing to do with his injury, or his ability to play. I am certain he can play better than Caelen Carson and Reddy Stewart. I would not be surprised if he came back and played better than Bland.

This Diggs thing is just more unnecessary drama that the Cowboys front office created, IMO. I have no doubt that Diggs will be gone by next year. We won't know if that was a good or bad decision until we see Diggs playing in another uniform.

At the same time, Jerry is the owner. Schottenheimer is the coach. Eberflus is the DC. If they don't like Diggs and want to move on from him that is their prerogative But even then, if that is where their head are at, why devalue the player? . Talk him up, let him play and see if you can pump up his trade value before dumping him. I bet a lot of team would be in the market for a player like Diggs.

My advice is don't eat the cheese.

Not always. I've run into people that get so sick of being asked a group of questions that are asking basically asking the same thing in different ways use it to try to just shut down the badgering. Do I think it's the case this time? Heck no. I think you're right in this case.

It's 180 degrees from how Jerry portrays injuries when he still wants a guy to play.
