Just watched his interview with Chris Mortensen and Susie Kolber and he sure sounded like Ware will most likely be cut due to Money, Age , injuries and Change in scheme. Looks like we have seen the last of D Ware guys.

Is there a direct quote of what Jerry said? I didn't see the interview.

And I could've sworn I read a different quote either earlier today or yesterday where Jerry said something along the lines of it being "unfathomable to line up the defense without D Ware".

What gives?

If Ware would take a incentive laden deal maybe He could stick around but Jerry sounded like Ware is at the point where his body won't allow him to stay on the field anymore.

Yup. That was my idea a week or so ago, and it's looking more and more like that is the only way he';s back next season

One word "posturing".

At this juncture if they were planning on squeezing Ware's salary for next season they certainly couldn't go around saying, "Oh we anticipate Demarcus finishing his career as a Dallas Cowboy."

Uh no.

To get the guy to come down $5 mil or more on next year's salary he's going to need to feel like yes the Cowboys will cut him.

Personally I think Ware's a pretty bright guy. He has to know that A. He isn't worth a base salary of $12 mil next season. B. The Cowboys need to reduce his cap hit.

If we draft a DE early that will send a message to Ware as well we mean business.

Susy Kolber asked him directly about Ware and Jerry made the analogy of getting off his plane when he first bought the team and driving around in a five year old Ford Bronco. Said he couldn't have the plane if he wasn't driving the Bronco because you can't have it all.

Says he has to weigh Wares injuries and production with the amount of money he's due to make.

Mort asked him so it's not automatic that he will be a Cowboy in 2014 and Jerry said no it's not because of the Salary Cap, Ware's salary and Ware not being able to practice and now missing games over the last two seasons. He said it will be a very tough decision.
