Per Jerry on D & M on the ticket this morning, they have been contacted by teams with openings requesting permission to interview our coordinators. I'm sure some of you Zimmer haters will be following this with interest.

Can't make change for change sake. Gotta have viable replacements and I can't say I see a bunch of them out there. Most of the good coordinators aren't going to make lateral moves unless they were just fired as part of Black Monday. But then you have to think about, well why were they fired.

Alot of assistants make bad head coaches. There are a few fired head coaches who I would like as assistants with Parcells.

and another 10 years of rebuilding again?at some point this rebuilding
stuff has to take shape hiring and firing will make u more like the cardinals

Zimmer's name was specifically displayed as part of a short list of potential Rams HC candidates on an NFL Network graphic yesterday.

But really, I think the coaches on this team took a lot of heat, but I think if the players executed better then it wouldn't be as a big of deal.

I agree. Especially on the offensive side, when your not getting blocking up front it is extremely hard to string plays together.

Don't laugh but let me say that I think Mike Tice could be an interesting name out there for some teams. Tice is a good OL coach and could get some interest. I recall Bill saying, last year I believe, that Tice was one of the good young coaches out there he really liked. Absolutly nothing to suggest he would ever land in Dallas but I do think he could add something to a very poor OL. JMO.

I agree 100% that is why a short term coach + hiring short term solutions = constant Rebuilding

Sonds good to me. All we need is an Al Grogh or Pete Carrol to be the HC...Anyone else ? I'm thinking from the College ranks, to help us in the draft. Like Jimmy was a draft guru, when he 1st got out of the College program.

Zimmer would only be some teams fallback / last resort candidate.

I know the Rams want a Defensive guy as HC. Their #1 candidate is supposedly Gregg Williams. KC also is interested in Williams. Whoever loses out on him may look at Zimmer. But I don't think he's #1 or #2 on anybody's wishlist.

I don't understand why there's so much luv for Capers on this board. His defenses have never done anything in Houston. His skills as a coordinator is so overrated...
