Jerry: Prescott is the best leader I've ever been around

You don't understand.

If you're rooting for Dak and Jerry then you're rooting for failure.

If you want to win, like Cowboys fans should want to do, then you must understand that rock bottom is needed right now.

Because allowing Jerry to believe they are close (they're not) will only prolong the failure.
Do you sit i n your room alone and dream all this stuff up? It's a game for heavens sake!!!!

Of course it's a game.

If there's a prize to win then I want my team to do what it needs to do to win that prize, don't you?

You just hope they have fun and make a bunch of money?
Of course I want the Cowboys to win, but it does not consume me. I love Sunday football, but wow.....yall are over the top!!!

Eye test actually works in Dak’s favor, it’s the results that are lacking.

Dak works his tail off during games going up and down the sideline, with both the offense and the defense, challenging them, encouraging them and firing them up.

Players, both current and past, speak very highly of Dak’s leadership, both in practice and in the huddle.

Coaches are crazy about him.

As i mentioned though, the results aren’t there, specifically in the playoffs.
That's the leadership school I was talking about. That's the easy stuff. He went through leadership school in his earlier years of the cowboys. That type of leadership is hollow. He's missing the other stuff. No ones afraid to let Dak down. He's missing the in10sity and killer instinct.

"I like to picture my Roger wearing giant Eagles wings and hes singing lead vocals for Lynryd Skynyrd in an all angels band, and im in the front hammered drunk"
My picture has him throwing the hail Mary to bon Jovi's dead or alive.

The difference in leadership between Dak and former Cowboys leaders at the QB position like Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman is that the latter two were successful in leading their teams.

It is the successful leaders that almost always receives the majority of recognition. In the NFL, you have succeeded on the field when you are a member of a team that won the Super bowl. That is the team goal.

It is difficult to brag on someone's leadership when it has resulted in nothing tangible.....yet.

"Best" leader should include an impressive list of credentials and achievements but that has been so long ago in the Cowboys history that Jerry probably forgot what success actually looks like.

Dak could well become a successful leader in the future. That is the minimum requirement before being considered "best" leader.
