On now and was just asked...

Of all your playoff opponents which one didnt you like to play?

Answer:

The Dallas Cowboys. We just hated each other. We were both very good and each team knew that whoever won between 49ers and Cowboys, that they would go on to win the Super Bowl.

Athletes are funny that way. There were likely teams that were better "rivals," but we got the better of him in 92' and 93' and that likely bothers him to this day. Almost like John Salley a few years ago saying the top 5 NBA players he played against were Kareem, Magic, Bird, McHale and Hakeem.

Remember Irvin took Green to school at RFK with 3 TD's?

DGreen was a definite HOFer, but I always laugh when people say Green was the best CB ever. Irvin routinely gave Green work. Even as a rookie, Irvin Washington up for him up for 150 and 3 TDs

This will go way back..

Charlie Taylor of the Washington Commanders.

He was a WR converted from a RB.

He would just kill us with big play after big play.

And another guy everyone knows about but few saw him play.

Jim Brown of the Cleveland Browns.

Also Tim Brown of the Eagles. Great RB.

Never forget the game where he pissed off Leroy Jordan..our All Pro MLBer.

Jordan broke Brown's jaw and the Eagles went crazy.

Yes. Steve Young owes jerry jones big time for the one Super Bowl he won.

Not sure if sarcastic? lmao

But if serious. I agree.

I hope he sends Jerry Xmas card every year because Jerry. Fave him our 3rd of 4 SB wins in a row.
We would have been the only team to EVER do that.

Right up there with Yankees, Bulls and Islanders

No sarcasm here. I agree with you and feel JJs ego provided Young that elusive SB or young would be in conversations with Kelly, Boomer and Marino.
I hate when Young is hammering on some of these other qb's like Romo when Young was very fortunate to sniff a SB. JJ opened the gate for him to take a Lombardi and he acts like it was all him. He couldn't hold Montana's jock as far as I'm concerned. Jimmy Johnson owned San Fran at the time.

Ain't that a B....

Furthermore, I personally feel Jerry altered our "dynasty destiny":

1. We have chance for three peat.
2. We were damn lucky to win XXX
3. I think we had a shot at 4 in a row.... Who knows... Jimmy still in charge it could have been 5 straight.

The only guy I remember giving Irvin fits was Bobby Taylor of the Eagles.

I remember Aneas Williams giving him some trouble in Ariz, esp in one of the home playoff games after SB XXX (97/99?) were we got shocked by the Cards in a one and done scenario. But you are correct, Taylor/Vincent seemed to give us problems against Phili. But even A. Williams was hard to remember tbh...loved Irvin.

Jerra was quoted as saying that Jimma's Cowboys (with attendant success) could be coached by "500 other coaches."
Apparently, we half maybe 495 more coaches to audition.

Interesting here (at least I think so)

He was asked what DB gave you the most problems getting off the Line of Scimmage?

He says..

Once Deion perfected his craft, he could be very difficult. But the other guy that would give me fits, I'd have to say Darrell Green.

Green was good. Gotta give him credit.

Green was great. Dang it.
