Jerry Jones Talks Cowboys With CBS 11 Sports


IRVING (CBS 11 News) ―

In an interview with CBS 11 Sports at the new Cowboys stadium Thursday afternoon, Jerry Jones said the decision on whether Terrell Owens would be on the 2009 Cowboys team has NOT yet been made.

Jones also hinted at running back Marion Barber's return to the backup roll in 2009 with second-year back Felix Jones starting.

When asked about Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, Jones said he would not rule out the possibility of the team acquiring him in free agency.

I'm 100% all for Barber moving to a backup role again. It's a damn shame we overpaid for him. Yes he is a good runningback and deserved to be paid, but $45M was stupid. Of course, Jerry always overpays the good players that are already on the roster. (Crayton, Roy Williams, Barber, etc)

I can see Romo being on TO's side, considering that, what 3/4 of his TD's have been thrown to him.....and they have the most td's together then any other combo in that span.

I don't care if he stays or goes I just simply stated that I figured, 100%, that he will be here. I just doubt there is any real shot of him not being on this team this year.

Plus I find it hilarious how upset people seem to get over the idea that people either like TO, or aren't bothered enough by him to be calling for his head. It's seems like between hating TO and Jerry some people have no time for anything else in their lives.

I'm sure i'm in the vast minority, but with the three headed moster at RB, Witten,Martellus, Roy, Crayton and maybe Miles, i'm not sure our final receiving numbers for 2009 would look much different with or without TO.

he might drop a few balls a game but the ones he catches are usually for big plays, TD's or first downs. His mouth does get him in trouble and if he would quit doing interviews we wouldn't have these problems. But you can't argue his production on the field. I hope he stays.
