Jerry should have hired JG HC

Since we have not went to the SB since the hire of Garrett/Wade. As Cowboys fans we expect nothing but the SB these days. Looking back - I really wish Jerry would have hired JG as HC. Maybe we wouldn't be going through the circus we have now at Valley Ranch. In all fairness to JG - we really don't know how different he would be as HC vs. OC.

I really believe now is the time to fire Wade and let JG takeover as HC. Otherwise, we will be stuck as fans waiting for this soap opera to play out.

Yes, Jerry should have went with his first inclination, and hired JG as the HC.
And not let others talk him out of it. After seeing what Harbaugh and the other young and first time HC's have done, I bet Jerry is regretting not sticking with his first thought.

We would have had Capers as DC, last season and this season would have been different.

He can make it right though, fire Wade and give the job to JG, and move forward, we would have our young up and coming coach and he and the team, organization will grow from there.

Yeah, Jerry should have hired a guy who was a QB coach in Miami, which had Harrington and Culpepper, as the head coach of the Dallas cowboys over wade Phillips, who at least has had plenty of experience coaching the likes of Clyde Simmons, Jerom Brown, Reggie White, Bruce Smith, John Elway Shawn Merriman and on and on and on...

Capers is almost as over-rated as garrett... have you seen his track-record as a DC? He can't handle Wade's jock when it comes to defense.

Would you hire McDaniel right now?

Yeah I would, because he is no Garrett... McDaniel worked his way up the coaching ranks and actually showed he could caoch when his star QB went down for the season. You see, McDaniel has shown what he could do, and Garrett also has shown what he cold do with an all-star cast. The latter showed how he could turn a talented offense into a laughing stock around the league...

What has Wade past experience done for the Cowboys.

If JG had done his job this year, we would probably be in the play-offs right now. You know if Wade could have picked his OC, we would probably have had a ball control offense, because cad cameron would have been running this offense, like he is doing now with the Ravens, keeping Flacco in check...

Actually Jerry could learn a thing or two from the Glazers on aerodynamics.

Wade improved the Defence

Then make him DC.

What Jerry should be doing is hopping on a plan to Cabo with a briefcase full of cash marked "Shanahan" on the outside.

You could argue if Wade had been quicker to take the defense away from Stewart when he had proved pretty much nothing for the past season and half we would be too. Heck Jerry had to force it.

Good point on the Cameron though.

I agree with the premise.

I think Jerry was so concerned with the big picture and having quality on both sides of the ball that he might have accidentally caused more problems.

As is, I think Wade and Garrett have shown that they are willing to work together. I think they are both high-quality people who don't worry about finding some way to screw the other guy in the name of power.

But Jerry has to make sure that he stands with his guys. That's more than just words too. He needs to back them instead of the players.

It's going to be hard for Jerry to make Wade DC. He already said he's not changing the HC. It'll be hard to for him to go back on his word.

I do agree that Wade would be a great DC for Dallas.

Please, Garrett doesnt even understand an offense, let alone an entire team.

I don't get this "Garrett is over-rated" stuff.

His accomplishments with our offense in 2007 was record breaking. Considering some some of the offenses we have had in our team history that is saying something.

Considering he has had more HC interviews the last two years of probably anyone else breathing air that is saying something. He is obviously very highly thought of around the league.

Over-rated? I don't see it.

And it was still the 3rd best in the league. Genius, that Garrett guy.
