Why compromise at all? We are the Dallas Cowboys. We should have at least competent coaches in all positions,if not top 5 coaches in all positions. We dont, Maybe bottom 5 in most positions. This year we just moved around the same incompetent coaches. Get rid of the trash and start hiring coaches with conviction in the system and fire in they're belly. This is probably the most infuriating thing about the boys. The front Office. Man, If my boss ran his business this way we would be out of business.

Absolutely right except....when you're a billion or two deep with a world wide brand at your disposal the day they put you in a box is the day you're officially out of business and not a second sooner.

Of course. It's the perfect plan. This way there's zero accountability and silence runs amok........silently.

That's what the rubber stamp disciples want you to think. Unfortunately, no one around here has access to the decision making process, so it's all speculation, whichever position you believe. It's only when you disagree with them that speculating is seen as some sort of outrageous act.

What system? And when the decision was made to keep Garrett, I do not get what people expected. We were not going to attract good assistants who are just impressed enough to take the chance to hang around for the lame duck to ride to glory.

And when a clean sweep does occur, I would prefer Jones not having a cadre of assistant coaches to force upon whatever new patsy he elects to hire.

He will hire or force half the staff on the new coach. That's the Jerry way. He's done it every time.

But The Garrett homers told us all it was a Garrett hire, that he wasn't a puppet and had this amazing relationship with kiffin from his time in Tampa............... so it was a jerry hire and does that make Garrett the puppet????

garrett is a puppet. everyone in cowboys organization is a puppet of jerry. garrett puts up a front and a face to talk to media and not allow the talk to continue and tries to kill he said this, he said that conversations as much as possible.

this is clearly a jerry mess. he decided to have ryan simplify his scheme. then fired him and moved to kiffen and 4-3. a new scheme takes time to implement normally and an 8-8 team doesn't change scheme, specially with the players we had. he clearly showed a lack of understanding of his personnel. then he arm wrestled garrett to have Callahan be the play caller. plenty of stories about garrett jerry meetings including one in his plane. Callahan was given the play calling and when the offense sputtered, garrett took it away, but kept it in house as much as possible and passed it on as being more efficient.

now, linehan, and marinelli, etc. its just a freaking Hollywood show. the most successful organizations have stability at coaching. constant turnover is no help to taking the next step. it only delays it and forces you to take a step backwards.

jerry the gm is a joke. and all of this smells like desperation moves by jerry.

It's just impossible to believe that a group of grown men could sit down at a table and discuss what could make the team better develop a plan then go do it and make more adjustments the next year. It has to be that Jerry is stripping people of authority and scapegoating coordinators. Theres just no way these guys are all on the same page.

Jerry does nothing quietly. If Jerry takes the blame, it'll be for not meddling more than he already has.

So whose fault was it the prior two years, when Jason failed to make the playoffs blowing division leads twice and to top it all off losing to division rivals in the last game of the season, had miserable TO numbers on defense and sucky red zone scoring production?

I like Callahan...for his expertise and teaching ability along the offensive line.

I like Kiffin as a fiery teacher. I really like Marinelli as a defensive line coach.

I can't say about Linehan.

Right now I see a kick *** coach at O-line, D-line and Defensive scheme.

Now we have to work on the play callers.
