I know the correct answer when asking Zeke himself or even the fans about the record is "no, it's a team sport, we have bigger goals in mind" and all that... but you better believe he wanted that record. Kinda sucks that he probably would've been able to get it had he played more in the second half against Detroit. He won't get it now so it's pointless to push for it.

Thing is this was a record he could only break this year, cant do it rest of his career.
The record was clearly obtainable with a big run each game, and when he got the 55 yd run, I thought ok he can do it.
But 12 carries was all he got!
resting players is like playing to not lose.
if you get ahead and game is pretty much won then sure pull some of your starters.
Oakland was up 33-19 when carr got hurt, they should have been pulling the starters.
Thing is the d hadnt got to carr all game, just that 1 play . So that made it seem ok to leave him in there.
