Jerry vs David Mulugheta

You're trying to respond with generalities instead of this specific instance where the POS you're glorifying didn't act the way you're projecting him to be and Micah said he wanted to stay.
Micah can say anything he wants, but he signed to play for another team. Talk is cheap. He’s not. Parsons doesn’t play for Dallas. Pickens will. And he’s not cheap, either.

With the franchise tag Jones has all the leverage. Something he didn't have when it came to Parsons. It's a very real possibility that Pickens is forced to play under the tag. Unfortunate as they may sound. The compensation for him may just not be sufficient for a trade and Jones may simply NOT want to pay him what David M might demand.
I don't understand your rationale here. The fifth year options Parsons was on is less leverage than the franchise tag imo. The Cowboys could have held Micah's rights for a whole season and still franchise tagged him the next season.

Jerry and stephen should take shotty with them and let shotty do the talking.

Pickens franchise tag compensation would not exactly be chump change. I think it comes down to treading in contractual waters with Pickens and see how this team is reconstructed via the draft and free agency. Since an extended contract with the Cowboys will be financially impactful for years to come I can see why the Cowboys are likely going in this franchise direction unless they get outstanding compensation trading for Pickens.

That's not an option if I hear this one more time that OSA and Lamb can be traded you guys need to move on from your feelings You cannot do it they make too much money and have too much dead cap Not only that you have to move one guy you're going to get less war because he's already paid and you have to pay him to play somewhere else and then turn around and give a giant contract at Pickens that makes no sense at all this is why fans need to not even Internet GM's because you're not thinking in reality you're not trading away OSA or Lamb or Prescott those three guys are here if anyone's got paid last year it starts this year not only with the restructures but in new money you cannot trade these guys and be smart...

I'm sorry all of a sudden CD lamb is on some people naughty list this year but I'm sorry he's still an elite player he doesn't need Pickens on the other side to be successful see 2023 if not see his whole career But again we already talked about this on another post choosing one or the other no it's not you're either getting both or you're getting Lamb Let it sink let it take over you and then get back to us.ughh
Saying rather, it’s not saying I want to

The only real way to save money is with long-term deals, because of how they’re structured. Either way, the money’s being spent, so it doesn’t matter. The fact is, he doesn’t want to play on the franchise tag and might even hold out. I think the Cowboys should use the tag as leverage for a contract extension, not to lock him in for the year, because this isn’t the type of player or agent you want to force into playing unhappy.

$28.8 million isn’t chump change—it’s pretty close to fair value. That’s the starting point. If they make it non-exclusive, he can gauge real interest from other teams, and the Cowboys can see what he’s worth and entertain offers. He either needs a long-term deal or to be traded; either way, it benefits both sides.

I’ve assumed all along the tag was coming. Now it’s a matter of which tag—first-round tender, non-exclusive, whatever. This isn’t the player or agent you want threatening a holdout like we saw with Parsons. Some guys are fine making market money, and for a team with a highly paid WR1, their WR2 makes around that range. I’d cap it at $30 million.

If he doesn’t want to play for that, take the first-round pick, turn it into multiple picks, and spread the $30 million-plus savings across the roster.

I don’t think anyone loses here except fans who believe not having George Pickens would end the Cowboys season—LOL. That's so delusional...:popcorn:

Fun fact…..

George Pickens will turn 25 in a couple of weeks.

Terrance Newman, a top five pick, turned 25 within days of his NFL debut.

I think most of us want Pickens back, and although it’s probably too much to allocate to one position, at least it provides a real strength, and certainly opens up the run game a bit.

When has Jerry won a deal with what he feels is a big time signing?

Jerry has lost on Dak's deal twice, Osa's, Micah's, Zeke's, CD, and more that i'm forgetting.
