I think Jerruh knows the box is coming and I think he’s willing to spend to try and get one last ring. I don’t think he’s concerned with the cap as they have gone through that hell before and can recover again. What they can’t recover is regret if the box comes for Jerruh and they did nothing in the remaining time to keep/build a team with talent. Just my take on it.

Agree 100% ........ truly believe the Micah trade has given him a renewed sense of urgency and motivation. It's not hard to see he's enjoying the options from the trade........

Clark is better than Osa, regardless of being older than Osa.

If Osa is making 20+ how do you not pay Clark what he’s getting. Sure a restructure but the annual would be similar.

Plus, DTs take time to develop. Very rarely are they out the box ready year 1.

Yep, and he's probably resigned himself to the facts that:
a) spending money on talent rather than lottery tickets actually works
b) he's going to have to spend in 2026.....either he re-signs Pickens, or the fanbase will tear down AT&T.

As you say he's never having this chance again.

....and a case of changing things up, rather than rinse and repeating. Trading and not relying on middle/JAG FA's and with a heavy influence on the middle draft pick compensation.

And we have two first round picks. A later first round safety wouldn't be a bad thing for this team. Then sign a solid vet to insure him

Agree .......notice Jerry said he can keep ALL three DTs and "build" from there. That tells me they would like to keep all three at least through 2026 and draft a replacement for either Clark or Osa in 2027.

This is now their strength, they aren't going to weaken it, but rather build upon it. Add a good edge rusher and this DL could be scary and championship level. I go back and forth, how I would like the team to use those 2 picks in the draft: Edge, Linebacker or Linebacker/Safety.

IMO there is no way Eberflus will NOT come out of this draft w/o using a high pick on a LBer. Whether it's the first or second one I think depends who falls from the other positions. Perfect world .........sign Reed Blankship, draft Sonny Styles with the top first rounder, trade down the 2nd first rounder for a extra 2026 2nd or 3rd OR 2027 1st and take BPA. Then build the defense around EZ, QW, Styles, Overshown, Bland and Blankship
