I'm not sure how anyone blames Eberflus for the state of the defense. He isn't the guy who traded away the best player on defense 1 week before the start of the season.

It's easy to blame Eberflus because he is the one in charge of the defense. Plus, he's sucked everywhere he's had a job, and would be currently out of the NFL if Jerry didn't have a fetish for crap coaches and coordinators. He'll be out of the NFL soon after Jerry gets done with him just like Garrett, McCarthy and many more.

correction, the sorry state of the defense is all on Jones. The DC has to make do with what he has available. He essentially has a broken defense that has no talent in pass rush, terrible LB-ers and corners who are just coming back from injury.

How bout flus stops being stubborn and do something different? Try a 5 man front for god sake.

His damn picks for starting LB's is a complete failure.

Jerry has a way of pretending to take responsibility for bad moves without taking responsibility. He will say something like I shouldn’t have let Emmitt sit out when explaining why he didn’t even speak with Derrick Henry. The issue today is this team, this defense, this past off-season moves amd non moves. That’s what you are answering for.

All I got from this is Jerry will stick with Eberflus for at least 3 years because he sees the revolving door of coordinators as the issue, not the coordinators themselves. Remember all the HC changes before he decided Garrett needed to be here for a decade? Yeah...buckle up.

Yep. That’s the issue when everyday you just wing everything. Never a plan. Changing the DC isn’t an issue if you consider your roster, their strengths when you hire the new guy. Hire a guy who’s scheme fits the talent you have

It doesn't matter if the HC is offensive or defensive. But get some damn balance on the team. Loading up on offense and treating the defense like an afterthought is what has brought us to this sorry end.
