Why even jinx the health of Dak in the first place? Why can he not just SHUT UP.

The better question is why can't you just not listen to Jerry? It's obvious he has ceded a tremendous amount, if not all, control to his staff already. Besides, doesn't everyone want their backup qb to be ready in case their starter goes down?

Also bringing your superstition into this as a point of argument is beyond ridiculous.

If you believe in jinxes--and that somehow Jerry uttered words in a dark and magical sequence by mentioning Romo get some glorified practice time...

than I can see how you find reasons to worry about a lot of things.

If Dak leads this team to a Superbowl he should get the start. A rookie leading a team to a superbowl is unheard of and I don't care of Romo wants to come in for 1 series and let Dak play the rest......the only way I let Romo play is maybe a series in the 2nd or 3rd quarter but most likely not. Nothing against Romo but it's Dak team and if he gets us to the big game then he should continue like any other game.

Except Dak Prescott has confessed its Romo's team.

I know most people dont read to much into what Jerry says anymore, but something he said stood out. The part when he stated he wants "Romo to CONTRIBUTE" to a Superbowl. This could mean many things.
1)Helping Dak progress and win one for the team (this is my hope)
2)Forces Romo into the lineup if we make it to the Bowl.

Lots of you will say im crazy for thinking Jerry would be that insane to throw Romo into the Superbowl game. Let me remind you, this is Jerry we are talking about here. This is the same guy that has done very detrimental things to this team to just say "He knows football".

Does this concern anyone else? Or am i just over thinking and freaking out for no reason? Personally i think if Dak takes this team to the Superbowl, no way he can be benched, but this is Jerry.

For the record, i am not predicting a Superbowl appearance by any means. I am just stating what i think is going thru Jerry's Johnny Walker blue soaked brain. Like who says this? In case Dak has a health issue? Jesus Jerry enough with the jinxing. And how is doing what gives us the best chance to have TONY contribute to a championship best for the team? I am just so concerned this man is going to screw this up somehow.

Rant over

https://www.all22.com/dallas-cowboys/jerry-jones-wants-tony-romo-ready-contribute-championship

“I want to do what gives us the best chance to have Tony contribute to a championship,” Jones said. “I do want Tony to be ready to go in case that Dak should have an issue health wise, and that gives us strength going into the playoffs.”

Have you or your buddies ever looked at an attractive female and said "I'd like to blank her" but you never even asked for her number? I think Jerry is saying he would like it, not that he's going to try to make it happen.

Please tell me you are kidding. If Dak leads this team to a Superbowl and gets benched for Romo i will not follow this team anymore. That would be the last straw for me.

lmao! No you wouldn't.

Even if they did something crazy like that and it really pissed you off, you wouldn't stop following the team. That's just stupid.

I already said I may be over reacting. Thanks for adding to the conversation.

If we lost in our first superbowl appearance since 1995 so jerry can't satisfy his ego I can guarantee you I would.

Jerry wants Romo to contribute the way he has by helping Dak. This is Dak's team that's been settled. You're reading too much into Jerry's comment...relax!

If you read the article in which that quote was first used, it had nothing to do with putting Romo in any game over Dak.

He merely said that if the opportunity arose to get Romo some playing time down the stretch, whether it's for a half or whatever, he would love for Romo to knock some of the rust off in case there's an injury and Romo actually has to play in a playoff or even championship game. He doesn't want a Romo who has seen 0 game action all year to suddenly be thrust into a championship run due to an injury situation.

Wow.

Well if that happens then bye I guess.
You would be ok with us losing a superbowl because jerry just had to ruin what was working and prove all the naysayers wrong by throwing romo in? You would still be able to support this team if he did that?

I wouldn't be okay with it or happy about it. It would suck. Without question.

But nothing is going to keep me from being a Dallas Cowboys fan. I've been one my whole life and I'll be one till the day I die. No amount of bad seasons, bad players, bad choices, stupid owners comments or decisions, or anything will ever change that.

How long have you guys been fans of this team? Jerry doesn't make determinations on who plays in a game, and he doesn't tell the coaches what to do.
