Jerry's Outside Sources

I don't see a problem with having outside counsel. Don't we have outside counsel for everything we do -- career, financial, retirement, what pick up line to use, etc

Furthermore, you don't know if the sources all agree or disagree with each other. I'm sure Jerral consults some more than others depending on the advice sought.

Doesn't sound like a Leader, he doesn't look like one and he doesn't act like a Leader. He has money though.

We all heard Jerry say he was gonna consult with others outside of the organization that he has the upmost confidence in, who would some of these people be?

You need to read Jimmy's book. I seem to remember him saying he bent Parcells' ear a few times.

Go re-read my post. I said "a great deal." But there was also a point that he Landry and others didn't make it a public show. Whatever, does it really matter? All the consulting Jerry takes in will never help the team win a championship as long as he is GM.

Jerry likes to play on giving the fans the idea that he's "fixing" the teams problems by asking outsiders who are "smart" since the fans are disgusted with the insiders who failed to get the team in the playoffs. This keeps interest in the team and interest in the team translates into Jerry's most coveted thing....$$$$$!

You know, of all the NFL guys who get bashed, I think when people bash Al it bothers me most. He got old. What choice did he have there? We all get old.

The one thing Al did that I think hurt the Raiders is the thing way too many fans here want. Constant coaching changes rather than building something.

I agree but you have to build with the right coach. Some of the guys Al hired wouldn't get a HC job anywhere else, kinda like here.

yeah...it's all about catching lighting in a bottle for an owner like Al, Jerry needs to realize that fact.
