just a thought, if BP did retire after this year, would you like Jim Fassel as your new coach?

I wouldn't even want him as my OC.

But maybe Sean Payton will hire him in some capacity.

Didn't fassel take play calling responsibilities from Payton the year the Giants went to the superbowl.....what reversal of roles that would be. I could see an ex-coach having too much pride to take orders from a former assistant.

Not Jerry's style.

Jerry will get a) Bill Cowher, b) Mike Holmgren, or, if all else fails, c) Charlie Weiss

Fassel is a consultant for the Ravens, who's O still stinks

I think I heard something about Brian Billick relieving him of his play-calling duties this week.

No way!

The Only coach that should be considered is Tressel of Ohio St!

And I never want to lose him!:D

hey CC, i was just about to say, what if Jim Tressel wins the national championship this year, which i think he will, and BP retires, would you think Jerry would give him a look? or do you think we will go after a long lost BP disciple, like Dan Henning?

If he was smart he would. But people really don't appreciate what kind of coach Tressel is.

Truth is I wouldn't want Tressel to leave Ohio St.

I know people whine about Parcells style, but the 03 era Tressel ball is enough to make Ohio State fans, Ohio State haters and neutrals go insane.

Plus, he'd have to miss one of the rookie minicamps because he wouldn't be able to coach until the quarter was over in June.

Does anyone think there is a chance in hell of Cowher coming remotely to considering coaching the cowboys? I know I should shut up and listen to logical things, but I have heard him discussed as our coach if Pitt. does not pony up some more cash. Like I said I know I am grabbing at stars here but what woud you think? Maybe he is able to bring Labeau (sp) really give the defense a boost. Okay I am ready for the abuse.:)

Our Church volleyball team could use some help.

Nope, scratch that, it's the defense that can't stop anything.

I just want a coach that isn't so damn conservative and isn't afraid to pull out all the stops on the offensive side of the ball. Someone who plays to win and doesn't play to not lose. I'm so tired of us getting a lead and BP just sitting on the ball. Our offense is so under-utilized it's sickening.

Jimmy Johnson wasn't afraid to take chances, and the teams in the NFL who have had success in recent years have this philosophy. Sean Payton is playing that way in New Orleans, and look where the Saints are. It makes me wonder how short of a leash BP kept him on last year as far as the offensive playcalling was concerned.

That's why I think Cowher would be a perfect fit in Dallas. He gets fired up.
