Emmitt in the brown suspender/shorts with yellow polka dots. He looked like a clown that day. LOL

I still have a newspaper picture of that in a draft scrapbook I did back then. I have articles and pictures out of newspapers and draft guides for each pick from the 1989 draft through the 1995 draft.

There were some good articles I put in there too. One on Larry Allen from little Sonoma State was really good. It was out of The Sporting News I believe. The author of the piece was on the sidelines at a Sonoma State game when Larry was asked to pull out in front of a sweep. He said a cornerback came up to take on Allen's block and literally went about 15 feet through the air, lol.

Those years were right through the heart of a dynasty. I still look at it every now and then.

Emmitt was on The Ticket the other morning with The Musers. They asked him about that. Emmitt really didn't want to talk about it, but they all were laughing.
Emmitt said that's about all he could afford at the time, it was in style [kind of] and the entire suit probably cost $45 or less.

They asked if he still had it. he said no way, he thinks after he signed his first contract, he threw it in the trash.
Wasn't one of Emmitt's more memorable moments.

That was da bomb back in da day. I remember I had some pajama MCHammer pants back then. Of course, when I look at pictures of myself NOW, I ... looked like a clown. LOL!

Everyone wore the Polka Dots back in the days. Just go back and watch any old Kwame video and that's where it all started from. He was the first to wear the Polka Dots and the girls loved it.

Remember when Jimmy Johnson said he didn't think Emmitt was fast enough to pull a hamstring?........................................That was awesome.

Wait a minute, Emmitt went out and bought that outfit for the trip to Dallas?

Yes I was just thinking of this. Kwame and the Polka Dots. Man what a horrible time that was for style.

I like how they used to bring out their playing number jersey instead of the tacky "1" jersey that they do with every first round pick...

Not too long after that he wrote down on a legal pad that one of his goals was to become the NFL's all-time leading rusher.

People made some fun of that... after about two years, people stopped laughing.
