Aikman was a 1st round, #1 pick. Neither Romo or Dak could have had the same success, even with the loaded teams. Remember, Aikman got the hell beat out of him and had multiple concussions. The team wasn't stacked when he was drafted.

Aikman will never get the credit he deserves for starting like that and then going to the Hall of Fame. Talk about character. And for those saying Dak and Romo would have won too… hell, they can’t even beat #$@!&@# wild card teams! Go play those early 90s 49ers, Giants, Philly Eagles or Green Bay Packers. They be crying in the dirt after Reggie White and Jerome Brown had their way.

That's the difference between the great QB's and the pretenders. The last 15 years we've had Romo and Dak who could put up some good stats during the regular season, especially against inferior opponents. But the great ones do it the postseason.

Use to love the way he threw to Mike before he even finished his routes.

He had some great teams and didn’t have to carry them. He had arguably the greatest OL in the history of the game. He had the all-time leading rusher in the back field and a Hall of Fame WR. He had a Hall of Fame head coach. The year he won his first Super Bowl in 92 the Cowboys had the number one defense in the league. Before Aikman had all that talent around him he couldn’t win a game and was being concussed. Don’t get me wrong he was a great QB but it takes a complete team to win. Aikman would’ve spent a lot of time on his back behind this OL and no running game.

He would’ve been chewing out receivers for dropping balls. He would have never had the career he did if he had to put the ball up all the time behind a suspect OL and no running game. Go back and look at his career when the team began to decline in the late 90s. He got booed and the fans wanted Randall Cunningham to replace him.

The team grew and started to win together.

-1988 Irvin’s rookie season, the Cowboys were 3-13
-1989 Aikman’s rookie season, the Cowboys were 1-15
-1990 Smith’s rookie season, the Cowboys were 7-9
-1991 Cowboys were 11-5 and made the playoffs
-1992 Cowboys were 13-3 and won the SB

From these efforts, their HOF careers were established.

Aikman had to sacrifice since the Cowboys wanted a balanced power running attack.

You make it seem Aikman joined a loaded Cowboys team full of established pro bowlers and future HOFers.

Lol what about all the orher awful QB's we've had even before these two scrubs who haven't won a thing since #8? Same old sewer feces flushed by the same old man playing God in a giant toilet.

i bet Jerry will.
Oh no, that means drolling, a blanket, and wheelchair. Since he has a eye glass cleaner on the payroll, I'm applying (may need walker by then) to push the wheelchair.

Thanks to Jimmy and all the moves he made the team grew. Aikman entered a very bad situation when he first arrived in Dallas. There were many who questioned if he was any good after the first season in 89. There were those who said the Cowboys should’ve traded Aikman and kept Steve Walsh because they won their only game in 89 with him. Aikman took a terrible beating those first two seasons. Those teams he played for from 92 to 95 were the greatest Cowboys teams ever and this is coming from someone who’s followed the team since 1972.

Seeing Jimmy tweet this is depressing. Seeing Michael Irvin having to sit on ESPN and get ridiculed for 2 hours is depressing. Not only do our fans deserve better, but so do our legends.

Jimmy is just salty that Jerry won another Superbowl without him, while Jimmy didn't win **** without Jerry.

No joke. People saying that Dak would have won Super Bowls?!! Dak can’t even hit the guy in stride when he’s open!!!
Dak is still the guy who cost Mississippi State the game vs Alabama in 2014.

He goes brain dead in big moments

2007 team we lost to ---Osi, Strahan, Plax, Jacobs, Shockey, Tuck, Toomer, etc... Hate when people and talking heads bring this up!!! Go look at their roster that year, I do not care what their record was. They also won the Superbowl!!!!!!!!!!!!

And to be fair, Romo didn’t lose that game. The defense giving up a 50 second touchdown drive right before half and Patrick Crayton lost that game.

Romo was also stellar in the 2014 playoffs. They probably win in Green Bay if Murray doesn’t fumble.
