I'll be honest, I don't want RoMac back. He's shown that football doesn't mean Jack to him, so it's time to kick his butt to the curb. As for Jaylon, IF (and its a big if) he comes back this season, I don't want them to rush him into significant playing time. He wouldn't have played in over a year, and the vote can't go from idle to full speed without working up to it.

I kinda hope the do rush jaylon smith onto the field before he's ready. I don't hope they make 100% sure he's prepared first

I doubt he can, but if Ro can play at close to the level he did in 2014, I'd bring him back for the playoff run. Once in the playoffs, we are going to need all the help we can get.

jerry means it, he probably envisions those 2 playing, and romo for the playoffs.
There is really no telling what is going to happen late in the season, after game 10.

People don't seem to understand that Jones loves his players. That means even the ones with problems. Maybe some of you disown your kids when they don't please you but Jerry seeks to help those he calls his own.

Telling Ro Mac that he has nowhere to come back to does not help him. Giving him a reason to improve does.

Not sure how much Ro could help. I don't see him reporting in shape but he would have time to get so for the playoffs so.... Not in favor.

Jaylon sure.

I don't see this as anything different than Jones saying the door is open if he gets his **** together.

He's been pounding Tussen and I don't see it either, fwiw.

At some point, you'd think Jerry would move on and call it a day on the guy. He's done everything possible to wear out his welcome. It'll be interesting to see if his locker space returns at some point. I think maybe Jerry was defending his former position on keeping him around as much as anything. Crazy stuff -- the drama continues. Jerry's pride is wounded. I think Stephen will want to cut bait and move on.

Unfortunately this is a business and not UNICEF and the money he is wasting on McClain and McFadden could have been used on Cameron Wake or Sheldon Richardson or Jamie Collins

This. Also, I hate it when fans take the stance of throwing players out with the trash. There isn't redemption without adversity and hardship.

McClain isn't getting paid. DMC can be cut.

It costs Jerry nothing.

I've liked what I've seen from McClain on the field for the most part. Thought he has been one of the best players on our defense the last couple of years. Not sure where he is physically at this time, but I'd like to see him return and help this team if he can.

Our run defense has not been great, and having him out there when he is performing is night and day different.

I always loved the idea of having Lee, McClain, and Smith out there... That's a tough group to work against. All 3 would be pro bowl caliber. The way the secondary is playing and with Gregory returning, I think this defense could be a bridge to next year.

I wish we made some moves to get some defensive end help though. Stunned that we didn't.
