what has happen to JJ this year. BP has made this guy something he is not. He is not a inside runner. Let him bounce it to the outside more.

I agree, They need to give him more pitchouts and sweeps instead of all these slashes and dives up the middle. Plus the fact that he is probably a little banged up and has a OL that is below average...

He was a darn fine inside runner last year, when he had holes. He's obviously lost some combination of explosiveness, aggressiveness, vision; but he's not getting much help. I'm just happy we have options. Things will sort themselves out.

Take a look at last years plays....what was his bread & butter play? The draw. This year they are giving that to Barber. Most all of Barber's good runs are on the draw play.

Frustrating that they aren't letting JJ do that more.

The draw play is almost always either a loss or little gain, or a big gain. Why in the world they do not use it more when JJ is in there, expecially after all the damage he did last year with that play, just amazes me. I wish some reporter would ask about that in the press conference.

It's so obvious that it is ridiculous. One would think that they would have gone back to look at last year and figured this out.

Give JJ his bread & butter play..... :bang2:

Come on guys JJ has had draw plays today that he could not break for long gains. Be real, this guy just does not have the english he has last year.

I am not saying he will not regain that form.

Barber has that english. make the first man miss. JJ big plays last year was because he made the first man miss.

The long run that he did have, it was a draw.

Go back and watch the tapes....I have every one of them and believe me, it IS the draw play.

What are the plays that Barber runs that get's him the biggest runs...the draw play.

Watch next week....see which plays it is that generates the longest runs.

The guy sucks...why cant you see that. You should truly question Parcells if he ever starts Julius over Barber again.

The draw always is either a big gain or nothing. JJ is not getting the draw calls- why?

And now moronic Commander troll.

moronic...is what i said truly moronic? JJ sucks for your team. He has a 3.5ypc...that is even worse than Portis' abysmal ypc last year.

Barber runs with fire in his eyes. Julius runs not to make mistakes.

If it hasn't happened this week, JJ is going to lose the starting job eventually.

Well, since the skins will be as usual watching the playoffs instead of being in them, maybe we should cut the moron some slack......

BP has so completely intimidated JJ that he is afraid of making a mistake. BP seems to finally be realizing that sometimes his mind games backfires- but JJ is still running without the abandon of last year. I think BP needs to have a sitdown with him and let him know that he is allowed to take some chances and will not be pulled if he does take a couple and it does not work out. I think that is the only way it will happen.

I really, truly believe (not just wishful thinking) that he has lost a step due to injury.

I think he will get it back. Just not this season.

MB3 definitely looked like the better option today.

He didnt even look bad today really. He looked pretty decent to me. Barber did look better but if you go back and watch it again it seems almost every play JJ had it we had close to no blocking.

The reason why MB is getting more draws and gets better results than JJ is simply results. MB and JJ have totally different running styles and to my eyes, MB seems to be a better all purpose runner. He's fast enough to get big chunks of yards, he can run for power, he can make people miss and he can catch a wonderful pass. Throw in the fact that he is a heady player and can block his arse off.

I really don't see what the debate is all about.

MBIII should start and if not, he should get more carries and finish the games.

*****Based on my history here, JJ is going to have a break out game next week due to that fact of my open campaigning for MBIII to start.

The ankle will probably not heal completely till the offseason. But I think bulking up like he did has affected his balance and quickness and flexibility- and add to that BP getting into his head like he has and intimidating him into not taking chances and playing it safe running the ball.
