DL is clearly proven, but the Coach was all but fired prior to the Super Bowl season. Coughlin has won a playoff game only one year in the previous 8 as head coach. Let's not confuse him with Belichek just yet.
The Giants OL WAS better but is it still? The OL that gave up 8 sacks to Dallas late season? Maybe we need to tap the breaks on this one.

Dallas went 13-3 two years ago and fell off to 9-7 last year, they started this year with a win. My match is rusty but that's 23-10 in the last 3 regular seasons. Perhaps the big games are an issue or December but they have won.

Just par for the course. The Cowboys will get little to no respect til they win some games in Dec. They can get off 11-0 and some people will still bash them for past Dec failings.

Our team has set its self up for this and I'm hoping it helps keep them motivated and away from the cheese.

Even when they win in December, it will be "no playoff wins." When they win a playoff game, it will be "no super bowl wins." When they win the Super Bowl, it will be....well....they'll think of something.

I hate JJT as much as the next guy, but I think he's right on a lot of what he says here as far as our weaknesses. As far as whether we're better than the Giants, I'd imagine that depends on the game. We've certainly proved we can beat them head to head, but as a whole unit based on the previous years performance (not taking into account this year since it just got underway), I'd say they've been a better TEAM, certainly.

been better team.... yes for the 12-16 game stretch ending 2007 and starting 2008.

they haven't been better outside that.

That is what's comical about JJT; he professes to be neutral, when in fact he's one of the most half-empty journalists out there. Nor is it your job to crap all over the Cowboys whenever you have a deadline, yet that's exactly what you do.

If we really had the talant that everyone thought we had Dallas would have won the Super Bowl.

Cowboys are super thin on OL but it's hard to find a core starting group that's much better.

JJT is a negative pot stirring reporter, and he gets paid.

Realistically unbiasedly I stilll like Dallas chances for a win, so JJT who is better if we dominate the G-Men this weekend.
