If there's one for certain, well-established disconnect regarding Romo it is the one between his detractors and the vast majority veteran QBs.
There is a very long list of Pro Bowl, HOF, and Super Bowling winning QBs that think he is outstanding. The list that think he is anything less than that is extremely short.

But I do recall McNabb at least laughing at the notion that Romo was a top 5 QB. But that's not the same question.

Just off the top of my head:
Montana, Fouts, Staubach, Aikman, Warner, Brady, Brees, Esiason, Dilfer, Favre, and others have all ginven him big props. I'm sure I'm leaving out a ton, but you get the point.

All of that does NOT mean the guy can't be criticized.

I'm not arguing against that at all (not saying you thought I was)...just bringing up that some ex-QBs have spoken negatively about Romo (not sure about current QBs, I don't think they ever criticize their brethren). I wasn't using other QBs' criticisms to validate anything.

Anyway, it's actually irrelevant to my point (and I do have one lol)...because my point was not that Romo is not a good leader...my point was that at times he comes across rather whiny when things aren't going well--and I admitted long ago on this thread that I had not watched too many videos of Romo mic'd up. Figured you guys have, though, and wanted to see if you saw the same things I did, and whether or not (overall) you felt Romo was a good leader.

I like it that we've got fans from other teams posting here. It's about the only thing that keeps us off of each other's throats after three seasons with no playoffs. He's not trolling, he just hates us and hates our team (from a sporting point of view) and is going to take the negative angle wherever he can.

It's no different from us saying RGIII isn't much of a leader because he's got one leg that's made out of spaghetti and a bad haircut. I mean, that's, just our opinion, but it is what it is.

I don't think you quite understand what "things not going well" means, at least in this context.

Being behind does not necessarily equal "things not going well".

Playing injured shows Romo's toughness, which as far as I know has never been questioned. And yeah, maybe when Romo comes back in the game and fights through pain it inspires his teammates to raise their game a notch or two. No one's denying that. But is that one of the rare times he actually DOES inspire his teammates?

And are there just as many times where he fails in that regard?

From all accounts Jeff George was anything BUT a leader on the field (and definitely on the sidelines lol)...Pro Football Reference has Romo with 19 game winning drives and George with 17. George is proof that game winning drives can be accomplished by QBs with almost a complete lack of leadership lol...

But I'm gonna point something out that too many of you are missing...I'm not saying all of this to make a statement about Romo. I'm saying all of this to point out some flaws in your logic. Nothing I said above means Romo is not a good leader, and I wasn't trying to say otherwise in this post...but nothing you said means he is.
