He was the CEO in Cleveland and not involved as much in personnel as he was in Philly.

And was an abject failure in that role. Who cares what Joe Banner thinks about the Cowboys, really? I happen to agree we'd be nuts to pass on the QB, but it's got nothing to do with anything he's got to say on the topic.

Banner comments not withstanding......I look at the situation like this, if Dallas had an aging player coming off a injury they would eventually be looking for a replacement. This position just happen to be Romo, I hope Romo plays four more years and win a Super Bowl, but I look at him now as a year to year player.

Exactly right. We will look back on this offseason as the worst in the Jerry era since the day Jimmy left.

SO much drama RS....we know you want to draft a QB man. We GET it for crissakes. You also lament on a continual basis how incompetent this front office is. It wouldn't surprise me a BIT if we took Bosa or Ramsey or Jack or Buckner. So sit back and chill out man. Nothing you or the rest of us can do about it. I've liked Ramsey for a long time personally but Romo is so old and fragile I've warmed up a LOT to taking Wentz or Goff. One should be there, but not necessarily. Tenn. doesn't need a QB but could trade down. The Browns have to take one (again) and it could be either guy.

The Chargers aren't rumored to be taking one at ALL but it wouldn't shock me. Rivers is getting up in years and they might take whomever Cleveland doesn't select. Then what? Some very good players still would be available, but if necessary we can trade down a few slots and still draft some great defensive talent. Have some fun with it and lighten up man. This front office simply isn't good enough to get this stressed out over. There's a reason we haven't been back to the SB in 20 years.

Correct.....I'm pretty sure JJ's nonsense about not taking a QB is a smoke screen. The closer it gets to draft day, the more I think we do indeed take either Wentz or Goff. (IF they are available)

I'm not stressed. I'm just speaking truth. You're just a fan who can't stand the truth.

Read much? Everything I typed was basically telling you to chill out because you can't roll with the punches. If you're a fan of this team you should be able to do that by now. JJ and Stephen aren't very good at their jobs. No better than your reading comprehension apparently. Now THAT'S the truth!

And "chilling out" doesn't factor in to an evaluation. "Chilling out" is what a fan says when his sensitivities have been hurt.

Let me get all "stressed" here and stuff when I tell you again, this is looking like the worst offseason in the history of the Jerry era since Jimmy left.

I may need some valium. Or maybe just go fishing. I hear that's a good stress reliever.

Yeah, let's listen to an Eagle rep and base our draft on what he thinks. Solid reasoning. You guys NEVER cease to amaze me.

I am amazed that a honest evaluation and a good one is overlooked due to source. The guy is right. Romo is on borrowed time and not finding his replacement is short-sighted and will cost the team for years to come . Of course the scout's evaluations needs to show that one of these QBs are worth the 4th pick, but depending on Romo will bury this team. I am through with hoping that they get things right. It is not going to happen if Jerry really believes that Romo has another 5 years. This organization has been a huge failure since Jimmy's players left the team. It is time to be honest as fans. If it wasn't for the organization's past, this team would fall in the same tier as the Broens, Jags and other teams that posters on this board make fun of. This has been a bad offseason in more ways than one. The only way to get this team back to respectability is by rebuilding around the young talent on the roster and adding the key players that can make this a top tier team every year. I have no faith in this team's front office to change anything, so for the time being , I really don't care if they draft a water boy with the 4th pick.

Joe banner does not want us getting Elliot. He knows what he can become behind this line..saying that I hope we go QB, I've learned my lesson after the aikman era, that was painful, fighting over who's better quincy or Chad.. Makes me sick.

Why the hell would Joe Banner care who we take?

No, his only draft with Cleveland was in 2013, when they took Barkevious Mingo with the sixth pick overall.

Fair enough, I'll do better research next time lol....regardless I stand by my point. Going into a draft with the idea of making one scenario happen no matter what is dangerous.

He's probably an eagle fan lol.. Honestly he probably doesn't care, he's probably right with our situation tho, I agree with him honestly.. As I said those quincy Carter days were horrible.

Joe Banner has a hell of a lot better track record than anyone in our front office. Id listen to him over Jerry or Stephen any day.

I wasn't going to say anything about it but now that you have brought it up - Banner was light years ahead of Jerry.
